Read the mixed reviews online (rude foreign worker staff, long wait, etc.) and was apprehensive abt whether to dine here initially. But so glad that we did because it turned out to be a heartwarming experience (and of course, with delicious food) :) So my wife and me joined the queue ard 8.10pm, got prompted by a group waiting nearby that we are supposed to get a queue number from the staff. Sure enough, a male staff appeared soon after to give everyone in queue a number (quite organised, methinks). While seated outside waiting, we witnessed a mix of drama with people streaming in, some with reservations and some walk-ins like us. Saw a group of 3 making abit of fuss while walking out of the restaurant, telling the male staff that they had waited too long for food, then another group empathising with the same staff and having a cordial chat to sort out their reservation details. Sure, we waited for a while (ard 20min) before our number was called but it was expected as we were afterall walk-in customers. We were ushered to an uncleared table near the entrance. Once inside, it was another whirlwind of action. We waited while the male staff (juggling btw tasks like serving customers in the queue, clearing plates, making orders, amongst other things) clear our table 3 separate times in btw his tasks. The female staff at the bar/drink counter ended up having a friendly 'fight' with the male staff after he accidentally spilled a drink while clearing our table in a rush. Subsequently, things got more settled down and we were told to make our orders with 'ah ma' who was seated a few tables away. The ordering was pretty fuss-free, with ah ma advising us to change our order for crabs as she thought that our overall order might be too jelak. So we took her advice and ordered the salt crabs (instead of fresh milk crabs) with the cheesy prawn beehoon instead. No regrets, in fact, kudos to her for thinking for her customers even admist all the frenzy. The food arrived and everything was on point. The server staff (the male and female staff mentioned abv) were high-strung but actually very friendly. After chatting with ah ma after our meal - we found out that she was the founder of this restaurant. It is currently managed by her 4th generation and they are quite severely understaffed as 3 of her Indonesian staff were unable to return to Melaka. Given the amount of work that each staff was juggling, I would say that losing 3 of them is a major loss of time and efficiency. Ah ma told us that all her staff have worked at this restaurant for 20+ years and that she cried when the 3 staff left. She also fully appreciates the staff who stayed on to take the extra load, hence she makes time to help out at the restaurant though she had already retired years back. We also see her thank every one of her customers while they were exiting the restaurant. So all in all, it was a wonderful experience - just good people trying their best to serve good food. Of course, there will be good days and bad days, and it is our hope that people are more forgiving towards them.

Arrived on a Saturday evening 15 mins before 6pm without reservation. It was not crowded, our food was served within 10 mins after ordering. Did not experience any rude service as mentioned in the previous reviews. I would say the standard of the creamy yet light cheese bee hoon remains the same as what I had 4 years ago. The sweet sour fish was a great recommendation by the waiteress. Crispy on the outside & the fish flesh remains succulent. I was expected the salted egg yolk prawn to be more of the wet with gravy version. It came in the dry version, still delicious as it was tossed with fried garlic & spring onions. Crowd started coming in slowly at 6pm onwards with a queue outside & they are almost full house.

Do not order delivery from them. During initial order, everything is ok and confirmed. They even sent me the father's day promotion to me as I ordered before the promotion announced. I thought everything went well and informed my parents do not cook just wait for some surprise delivery. When over scheduled delivery time, they totally didn't answer my call, didn't even bother to reply my msg. I kept calling, they even rejected my call in the end. Please, if you cant accept delivery, don't promise first. Even if you can't do the delivery last minutes, at least answer customer's call. Don't just let it hanging there, we are waiting for your food at home patiently. Please, this kinda service nowadays is totally not acceptable.

Book first, cos this place is packed on weekends. The restaurant's catchy self-confident name caught our eye, and we were soon chomping on the nosh. Tasty, but some dishes are on the oily side. Recommend: Signature river prawn cheesy beehoon, and the pork ribs in yam basket (latter item is not explicitly on menu, so just ask). The heads up from @GoodFood is relevant. The crabs here, much like giraffes in Kruger Park, travel in pairs. They sure looked good, but my eyeball estimate (looking at crab inspired glee at the next table) was that each dish packed at least 2.5kg of crab, so priced a tad high for those of us saving to put the kids through college.

The food selection at this restaurant is impressive, with a menu that highlights the chef's recommendations. We ordered the famous cheese beehoon with prawn, Qin long vegetables, fried squid with special mayonnaise sauce, king pork rib, and claypot tofu. The portions were medium-sized, perfect for our party of four adults and one child. The standout dishes were the cheese beehoon and the fried squid, both of which the whole family loved. While the other dishes were decent, the service was quick and attentive. The only downside is the need to book a table by phone to avoid long wait times. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience!

The food is expensive, 2 crabs for RM180 plus, and the service is terrible. The restaurant is understaffed with only 3-4 staffs taking care of entire restaurant, if u enjoy waiting to be seated ( despite reservation made), waiting and have to keep calling the waiters/waitress just to order food and waited long hours for slightly above average food, this is the place for you. The prawn beehoon is good, salted egg crabs is extremely salty. Overall this place is overrated and for tourists. I won’t come back again.
