Overrated, only word to sum up this joint. The reason we went because we googled place to eat in seremban and saw this. To our dismay, this is nothing more than canteen food with plenty more choices. You can taste that the food is mass-produced with little attention to quality. So...It's like...the more dishes the better, and people here just flock to this place. It's called selera negeri but there are Thai style chicken, butter prawn, to name a few - so its just a mashed-up food place with no unique offering to warrant high rating for my review. Its unlike several places we been to, ie Haslam or Capital Cafe in KL that offer you tasty home made cooking with several noteworthy dishes like their kerabu, or petai sambal or even omelette.
The place is stuffy and congested and hardly any space for you to walk. Service? Don't expect any friendly smiles here. In fact the servers keep on asking you to move aside with their stern faces as there's always one behind you carrying plates, glasses etc. Rice is free of charge, but of course its been built in the entire food price. I'm sure if I just eat a plate of rice with fried egg I won't be charged just rm1, or will I?
Be prepared for smoke attack on you clothes or hair - there's smoke coming from the grill fish station into the shop and people who refuse to understand that smoking in enclosed area...

Recently i had a trip going, so we are wandering look upon a restaurant to eat and want to make a reservation. We end up choosing here a week before that trip. So, when i called them, they said okay but need to confirm by whatsapp. By then, i whatsapp-ed them and they didn't not reply for 2 days. After they replied once, we need to call them to remind that we messaged them(even i replied a bit late(2 minutes late)). Then, they replied after i called, which is 3 hours after my last reply. When i asked their suggestion of within our budget for the menu, they suggested Rice, 2 type of dish, 1 type of veges dish and a drink. I confirmed my reservation and asked for the menu list on what could we ordered and they replied "anything you'd like to. We had more than 60 kind of menu, how should we enlist them all?". So i understand and then we discussed on our menu and tell them regardless of our menu. As usual a late reply must be considered and they replied "oh we cannot give what you asked for, and by the way, within your budget, we've overview that my boss has make a mistake(a typo) that you only can order rice, 1 type of dish and 1 type of veges also a drink" REMINDER: They replied 2 days before our trip and we gave up on this restaurant cause full of bull. A typo that dragged...
Read moreIt's basically a Malay version of the economy rice, with the unique distinction that this caters for the halal market segment. The shop occupies several lots, with a couple of indoor dining spaces, and also tables outside in the sheltered corridor for ppl who prefer the open air. The outdoor area is sheltered and well ventilated though it may perhaps get a little hotter during midday. It's all self service, so u get a plate, put however much rice u need and then proceed to choose your own dishes. There's a long counter, divided generally into meat and vegetarian options. Then u get your own drinks from the drinks counter. You'll then bring your food and drink, by yourself, no staff to do this, and proceed to find your own table, sit down and the staff will promptly come and total up your food, at your table, after which you'll be issued a chit which u then take to the cashier counter for payment to be made, at the end of your meal. It's well set up, and relatively painless. There are lots of tables, and even at its most crowded, u won't need to wait very long for a table to be free, the turnover is quite rapid. It is to be expected that there will be little ambience in a place like this, with raucous children kicking up a din, but if u can put up with the slightly noisy environment, it's not such a bad...
