I recently had an amazing dining experience at this steamboat restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious food and great value for money.
The standout dish for me was the alcohol chicken & Fish Prawn paste (花雕鸡 & 鱼虾滑) - it was simply out of this world! The soup was also fantastic and hit all the right notes. The portion sizes were generous and definitely worth the price, especially considering the restaurant is in a touristy area.
Although we had to wait for 2 hours to get a table, it was well worth it. We arrived at around 6pm and were lucky enough to secure a table for 4. The quality of the food was simply top-notch and more than made up for the wait. I would recommend this restaurant to any food lover, but I would advise avoiding peak dining times to avoid any long waits for a table.
Overall, I can't recommend this restaurant enough. The food was fantastic, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, then this steamboat restaurant is definitely...
Read moreI first sat down to a heart-and-stimach warming steamboat in 2019 just before the pandemic and I loved the peppery pig-stomach soup that accompanied the meats and veggies for a very satisfying hour-long steamboat dinner. Visited the place once again in August 2021 and it stuck to its home-grown good-quality soup. It is disheartening to know that the original owner's wife passed on in 2022 and the distraught 😫 owner let a young couple take over the business as he mourns his partner. The ingredients are very very fresh and the pepper soup (you can also call tomyam of plain broth soup) keeps one's body warm and continually hungry to enjoy the boiled food. Try calling extra portions of fish paste, chicken paste, bacon and sliced beef to just dip in the boiling soup for about 20 seconds before savouring it. Do ask for a "Charcoal" steamboat- gas driven ones dont taste as good. Price is affordable and what better meal than this in a 19degree climste evening to be enjoyed with ftiends and family members?...
Read moreSteamboat restaurant where you can choose whether you want gas stove steamboat, traditional charcoal steamboat or mookata steamboat. The restaurant provides unlimited vegetables, EXCLUDING mushrooms, something to take note for mushroom lovers. They comes with lots of choices of soup base.
Ordered charcoal steamboat with tomyam soup. The tomyam soup is good and not very spicy. The portion of the ingredients is very generous which is enough for every single person. The fish and prawn paste are superb!!
For servcie, the male owner of the store is a little arrogant when taking orders. Whenever we are making some requests, the owners will acknowledge but proceed to do something else and forgot our requests. They also forgot our drinks. Need to remind them multiple times until they finally assist us. It is easier to ask for assistance from the foreign workers lol.
Overall still good food good atmosphere, would recommend but needs improvement in...
