The entrance slope is steep but rough so it has more traction and parking spaces are ample; the first 2 rows of parking spots with roofs are the best so park there if you could as the rest of the spaces are situated higher up with less to no shade and further to the entrance. Souvenir shops are seen on the slope but can only be accessed from the outside rather than from the farm within.
I really enjoyed all the gorgeous flowers as well as the vegetable section with all the greens looking perfect and the clean water flowing down below it. The animals here are few and revolve around fishes and birds but the birds are an unnecessary spectacle due to all of them being kept in small cages that enacts a sense of cruelty.
For the kids, there is a large entertainment area near the eatery for them to play in and you will find plenty of seats in the eatery to dine. The food is one of the advantages of this farm compared to other farms. Many of the desserts (ice-cream, cheesecake, crème brûlée, etc) are strawberry themed and there are lot of other food variety too with all the prices being pretty reasonable. However, the service is not efficient since there is only 1 counter operating and they only accept cash (not even TNG e-wallet?) which is unacceptable. Also, the toilet near the eatery requires maintenance as there is no water which is a problem if you have a stomachache.
We also did not go for the strawberry picking because a lot of the plants were in a re-planting phase so it is disappointing as a lot of visitors came for this purpose. All the flaws mentioned above are what held the place down from being the undisputed #1 farm in Cameron Highland even if it is currently...
Read moreFirst of all if anyone visiting Cameroon on weekends then forget the trip. Bcz for traffic we need to spend hours and hours to reach even nearby places and covering one place in a day become so difficult. Moreover we won’t get any cabs at all. We suffered so much to get cab for 4 hours and we finally got one and that too 2 hours we travelled to reach destination which is 4 kms away. Not to mention it gave severe headache and my night got ruined completely with headache and vomits. When imagining about picking strawberries all those sounds fun. We cannot deny we had good time there. But there is some precautions we need to take before we entering for strawberries pick. We should expect numerous fruit flies that jump when we disturb the plants to pick strawberries. So we should apply insect repellent and mask too better to prevent us from flies entering nose or mouth and most importantly to prevent us from rotten strawberries smell. Also another point if we pick up strawberries then it all gets spoiled a bit sooner before we reach back our homes. Undeniable fact though. So be ready to loose ur money a bit . Apart from that it is very upset that their inhouse shop for strawberries icecream doesn’t taste good at all. Also strawberries used too are so bitter and couldn’t able to enjoy. But the one we picked we tasted and it was fine. Also when you pick strawberries please pick fully red one and not the one with white or green shade near the cap edge. Also cut with stem at least half inch to prevent spoiling way sooner though. Overall it is...
