Kopi Saigon @Bandar Perda — Restaurant in Penang

I truly disappointed the way the staff serve the customer. The dessert and and drinks were good and worth the price. This is my very first time came here for meet up with friends. Unfortunately, when I want to make an order, no staff attend me after wait for more than 5 minutes. Then, one of the staff look at me from the kitchen and said "now is rest hour 30 minutes" ( I was there around 6pm, Saturday/31.8). I look at the back the staff all are busy chit chatting among them. How can F&B biz operate this way? Normally if there is any staff break hour, there will be another staff incharge at the counter to take the order. I also see other customer just leave and go because no one take the order. I hope the owner & management take serious about this issue because it will impact the business in the long run. The café has a beautiful concept and cozy ambiance, but sadly, the service was very disappointing. There was no greeting, no smile, and when I asked about the cakes, the staff replied half-heartedly — as if uninterested to serve. The café was empty at that time, so being “busy” definitely wasn’t the reason.

It wasn’t just me — my friend experienced the same thing too. This place actually has great potential, but the cold attitude of the staff completely ruins the experience. Such a shame, because a lovely concept means nothing without genuine and friendly service. 🌿
