Read moreFirst thing that I noticed when arriving at the place is the service. When we entered, we asked the waitress if we could sit at the second floor mezzanine. She said that there is only one waiter there, so we cannot dine in there. There was already 2 tables occupied at that time, plus the ground floor is almost full. Once seated, she passed us the menu and order chit, saying that curry chicken and another dish was out of stock.
We then ordered 2 drinks using the order chit but she asked us to bring the chit to the counter to pay, most FnB places would just place the order first and customer can pay after the meal. When we wanted to pay at the counter, the cashier informed that the hor ka sai is out of stock. It's one of the signature drinks but it's out of stock..
Once paid, we waited and waited for almost 20 minutes before the only drink we ordered arrived, which is quite a long wait for a drink. We could see some kitchen staff having their lunch from the kitchen window, so maybe it was their tea time.
Service could be better, but then again most of the...

I lost words when I ate these because I've been searching for a decent halal kopitiam since I moved to Penang a couple of months ago..and finally found one! It's SBK coffee. Soft bread with generous amounts of yam and butter fillings, sturdy outside but fluffy mantao inside and the potato curry tastes marvelous! The potato inside the curry is fried potato wedges, can be a bit salty to some of you but I am ok with that. Recently I have been a bit more conscious about healthy diets so I felt a bit guilty eating this. It's a gated parking area, cashless payment but worry not, they will deduct RM1 from our total bill. We need to write our order and pay at the counter first before they serve our order. I would love to revisit again despite the distance from my house (Batu Kawan) - officially my new favourite. I...
