Located at The Starling Mall, which has multiple options in food and beverage.
This is Hong Kong styled food establishment. The interior is nicely decorated with old style kind of restaurant. They plaster HK movie poster style on the walls and some of the tables.
The service is a little not up to par. The table we got was not properly wipe-cleaned, the restaurant wasn’t even busy at that time. A few of the staff (likely foreigners) can’t even speak proper Chinese nor English, much less Malay.
Food was served fast.
Tomato Soup Ramen was decent. Not too rich in flavour. The ramen is not too springy and a little bit soft. The ingredients in the soup is not cook soft. That’s probably why it can be served fast. The pork chop is good. It is breaded and has a good level of juiciness.
The Soup Ramen with Chicken Chop is also average. The soup is tastes like chicken soup. The ramen the same as the tomato soup. The chicken chop is breaded and also maintained an ok level of juiciness.
The cheese baked rice is slightly below average. The meat in it is little. The butter chicken variety is no different than the one non-butter chicken one. They just...
Read moreThe atmosphere was ok, just average. neither here nor there. it had all the elements and attempts at ambiance but the food let it down completely. The staff served food and that was all they did. ordering by QR. Payment? by QR. so not much I can say about the service. The Food? Absolute crap. Buttermilk Chicken with rice - rice was hard. Chicken was a pounded and deep fried cutlet style. but DRY. The Kowloon Big Breakfast was stone cold. Eggs were scrambled but rubbery. no salt or pepper. no milk. Zero taste. The Polo bun was over toasted so it had dried out and was rock hard. Inedible. Mushroom soup... absolutely disappointment: I recognize the taste of Campbells Cream of Mushroom. Sprinkled steamed sweet corn on top... WHY? Hong Kong style French toast had a smear of peanut butter - could barely taste it. All the food also arrived STONE COLD.
Won't be going back. Ever. There's another Hong Kong place on the ground floor. Does better food and is also cheaper. Save your money. and Go there.
they also seem to be willing to bribe people for a 5 star review on google.... I have the photo to...
Read moreNO STAR WILL BE AWARDED FOR THIS RESTAURANT. The worst experience in Nine Dragon. I will not come here anymore.
Before I order, I asked if I were to order this set, may I change the drink to Milk Tea cause I am coffee intolerance.. One of the staff said ok no problem..
After that when my order came, they sent me coffee instead milk tea .. And I asked I ask to change your milk tea and your staff said ok that is why I order the set ..
The "manager" who is a lady which I think she is the manager. She said "NO, cannot change". And I said but your staff agreed to it and she said " OK I CHANGE FOR YOU. JUST TO LET YOU KNOW, I WILL DEDUCT THE STAFF SALARY JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT MILK TEA".
What a bad attitude, threats, coercion and guilt tripping, I am sensing here. Even though the food is good the service is bad, the lady manager is ridiculous.
I had no choice to take the coffee and not drink it. Just because the "lady manager" said will deduct the poor employee salary. WORST SERVICE & EXPERIENCE EVER!
