My first time at Lafayette. It’s moved to the food court at the mall, which is convenient for parking and this allows diners to order an assortment of food. I was told I could sit outside and take my food out but we couldn’t sit inside and bring food in. So I arranged to take my order out to be eaten at a table directly outside so I could eat with my friends.
My food was served on a plastic plate and I was given plastic cutlery, which I immediately declined. I requested silverware and was declined by staff. I argued that it was difficult to eat a chicken chop with plastic cutlery and said I would return the silverware. Counter staff reluctantly agreed to get me a pair but as soon as I received it, another staff tried to tell me it wasn’t allowed since I was sitting outside, bla bla bla. Do I care to hear this drivel after waiting how long for my food? No. Staff went out to see where I was seated — do I look like I’m going to steal cutlery? 🙄
Food is ok except for the mash potato that was watery like a baby’s vomit. I returned the cutlery after my meal but the whole exchange with the staff left a bad taste...
Read moreI tried the D-grilled salmon with Lafayette sauce, mushroom soup, and smoked duck bruschette, and every dish exceeded my expectations.
The D-grilled salmon was perfectly cooked, with a slightly crisp exterior and tender, flaky meat. The Lafayette sauce added a creamy, tangy touch that complemented the salmon beautifully. It came with a side of fresh salad and golden fries, making it a well-balanced meal.
The mushroom soup was rich and creamy, served with a slice of garlic bread that was crisp and flavorful. It’s the perfect starter to warm up your appetite.
The smoked duck bruschette was a standout. The smoky flavor of the duck paired with crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes, and crunchy bread made it an unforgettable appetizer.
To top it off, they surprised us with a complimentary scoop of ice cream for dessert – a sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
The ambiance is cozy, and the staff are friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Lafayette for anyone looking to enjoy a satisfying Western fusion meal in...
Read moreThis is the worst cafe I've ever visit in my life that the waiter will chase customer away with laptops. There's no black and white written rules on the door or table that no laptops allowed from 12pm to 3pm. As a customer, I think I have the right to stay how long I want as long as I spent acceptable amount by ordering food and drinks in the cafe. And worse is, there are 4-5 tables empty when the waiter came forward to tell me that no laptops allowed at these hours. This is my second visit to the cafe as I really like the food, drinks and the environment here being comfy to customer. I ordered an expensive drinks and food here but ended up got chased away because I'm working with my laptop here. I'm actually still thinking to order my lunch there as I was still in a meeting at that time. So disappointed with the...
