川湘食府 CHUAN XIANG SHI FU RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

This is one of my favourite China food places that is really authentic. While I only ever order two dishes they do it perfectly.

The diced chicken with spicy sauce is actually the fried spicy fragrant chicken that is fried crunchy with dried chilies, peanuts and the mala spice. While the prices are fried with a small amount of bones it helps retain that rich chicken flavour along with the balance of spicy fragrance.

The fish in golden soup is balanced with sour and spicy. We went for the lowest level of spicy and it was just what I love. With ample fish and glass noodles it was only RM 50 for a portion easily enough for 4.

They have 3 booking rooms for 10 pax RM300 and above, 16 pax RM 488 and above and a room for 20 for RM 888 and above. The two bigger rooms have a karaoke set inside as well.

Would definitely recommend this place as their menu has a huge range of Chinese dishes that will leave you spoilt for choice...

Food was good but took 2 hours to come so no, it was horrendous. When we saw the restaurant was crowded we have already confirmed w the owner that they could cope w the order hence we waited.

However 45 minutes into waiting, no food had come, they were always telling us it’s on the way and would not let us cancel at all, the owner soon ignored our questions. The unethical behavior has clearly put me off. Food came only after 2 hours and mind you, each dish was served w a 10-min gap. No food is scrumptious enough that would make me wait for 2 hours,...

Took them long enough to serve all the dishes. Served 2 simple dishes and we waited another 30 minutes for the rest to come. 3 new customers (tables) came in and all of them were already finishing their meals, but we were still waiting for ours! No follow up from the lady boss even after we asked. At one point, we decided to just pay the bills for what we ate, but was told the dishes is coming up. And guess what? We continue to wait another 10 minutes. Definitely not coming back. What a...
