If you think seafood is just âmeh,â you clearly havenât been to Abah Seafood & Grill PJ. Let me tell you, I had no idea PJ was hiding such a seafood gemâitâs like discovering your quiet neighbor is secretly a rockstar. The first bite at Abahâs will have you wondering why you ever settled for average seafood in the first place.
First, letâs talk food. The Chili Crab Ketam Nipah? Pure joy in every claw. The Ikan Merah Steamed with Chili & Lime? A citrusy dream. And donât even get me started on the Sambal Petai Udang. Even if youâre not a fan of petai, this dish might just convert you. Generous portions, bursting flavorsâeach dish makes you feel like youâre winning at life.
The restaurant is air-conditioned, so no sweating over your chili crab. The staff? Absolute pros. Smiles, kindness, and that magical ability to clear tables faster than your relatives grabbing rendang at Raya. They even swap your plates mid-meal so you can, you know, keep going. And yes, baby chairs are availableâfor both babies and tiny adults who just want a comfier seat. No judgment here.
Parking is a breeze with ample free spots (yes, free in PJ, imagine that). The place is spacious, with plenty of tables, great vibes, and just the right touch of calm ambiance. The decor is charming, and everything is squeaky clean. Honestly, itâs perfect for a family dinner, a friend hangout, or just you devouring crab without shame.
Sure, itâs a little on the pricey side, but every ringgit is worth it. Itâs not just a mealâitâs a celebration of seafood done right. So if you havenât been to Abah Seafood & Grill PJ, what are you even doing with your life? Go. Now....

Came here for lunch on a weekday at 1230pm , not packed and no reservations needed . If coming on a weekends , ideally recommend to book in advance as place can be very packed.
Only ordered ketam nipah (Rm159 for 2 per order) with rice and mantao buns, got 2 orders so it was 4 crabs for the price for rm300++, cooked in kam heong and chilli sauce . Had to add the mantao buns as well .
Crabs were decently big , not small . Approximately maybe 500-600g each? Very fresh and the taste for both were amazing and authentic , like Chinese style cooking .
Upon order theyâll give appetiser snacks (keropok ubi?) order came relatively fast within 30 mins. Comes with free flow water as well with the options to order other beverages.
Provides tools to open the crab , crabs were not pre cracked so it was a bit of a challenge . They provide plastic gloves as well .
Has a section for live seafood , saw some lobsters, crabs, king crabs ,etcâŠ
Overall experience was amazing , dining in was amazing . Food was amazing as well . Location is strategic at the side of the road youâll see a huge signboard . Car parks available in the...

The price is of course slightly higher than average but with the portion of the food also being slightly larger than average , you can order 1 meal for 2 people. And at the end of the day, its all worth it.
The waiters are all superbly trained and you will feel right at home. Ambience is cozy and comfortable.
I went there wearing round neck t shirt and flip flops ( looking like i just came back from Giant hypermarket) and i still received vip treatment. đ€©đThis is rare. Some restaurants judge yu by the way you dress but not this restaurant. I rmember 2 supervisors who are always ready to serve, , their names are En Faizul and En Razak.
If you happen to patron this restaurant ask for one of them n tell them u got their names from this review, who knows you may get 1 free cucur durians.
So, this is a place i recommend and hope you will get the same pleasurable experience as i...
