Had our dinner here today.
Service wise - like an average eatery place, ntg much unusual.
Atmosphere wise - like an average cafe but was very annoyed by the flies flying around.
Food wise we ordered:
Char Kuey Teow extra spicy Taste wise is acceptable & not very disappointed like other places who claimed to be Penang authentic for a Penangite however lack a tad bit of āwok heiā. I would order again if I happen to return.
White Curry Mee Itās soup & sambal lack fragrance. Itās neither very good nor very bad. Itās just average for my taste bud - Iāve had better elsewhere. At the very least it has si-ham, sotong, shrimps, tau-ge, tau-fu-pok, mint š. Its pork blood was good to eat, doesnāt have the stinky smell of pork (chau-tu-bi)
Chee Cheong Fun Although the thick shrimp paste seems authentic, but itās quite overpowering given that the portionās proportion of chee cheong fun & paste is off. The chee cheong fun is chopped too small & its texture is too soft.
Pat Poh beverage⦠Iāve missed you š

One of the standout dishes that keeps me coming back for more is their Char Koay Teow. Served piping hot and packed with wok hei, this dish is a delightful mix of flat rice noodles, succulent prawns, crunchy bean sprouts, and smoky Chinese sausage. The flavors are perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of heat from the chili and sweetness from the dark soy sauce.
Another must-try is their Fried Char Hor Fun. This dish features silky smooth rice noodles stir-fried with tender slices of chicken, plump prawns, and crisp vegetables. The sauce is rich and savory, coating each strand of noodle in a delightful medley of flavors.
With its warm ambiance, friendly service, and mouthwatering dishes, this restaurant is a true gem for anyone craving the taste of Penang without having to travel far. Whether you're a seasoned Penang foodie or a newcomer to Malaysian cuisine, this restaurant is sure to leave you...
