Had our dinner here today.

Service wise - like an average eatery place, ntg much unusual.

Atmosphere wise - like an average cafe but was very annoyed by the flies flying around.

Food wise we ordered:

  1. Char Kuey Teow extra spicy Taste wise is acceptable & not very disappointed like other places who claimed to be Penang authentic for a Penangite however lack a tad bit of ā€œwok heiā€. I would order again if I happen to return.

  2. White Curry Mee It’s soup & sambal lack fragrance. It’s neither very good nor very bad. It’s just average for my taste bud - I’ve had better elsewhere. At the very least it has si-ham, sotong, shrimps, tau-ge, tau-fu-pok, mint 😊. Its pork blood was good to eat, doesn’t have the stinky smell of pork (chau-tu-bi)

  3. Chee Cheong Fun Although the thick shrimp paste seems authentic, but it’s quite overpowering given that the portion’s proportion of chee cheong fun & paste is off. The chee cheong fun is chopped too small & its texture is too soft.

Pat Poh beverage… I’ve missed you šŸ˜

Overall experience acceptable based on our...

This authentic Penang restaurant is a haven for food lovers seeking the perfect blend of flavors and textures that define Penang cuisine.

One of the standout dishes that keeps me coming back for more is their Char Koay Teow. Served piping hot and packed with wok hei, this dish is a delightful mix of flat rice noodles, succulent prawns, crunchy bean sprouts, and smoky Chinese sausage. The flavors are perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of heat from the chili and sweetness from the dark soy sauce.

Another must-try is their Fried Char Hor Fun. This dish features silky smooth rice noodles stir-fried with tender slices of chicken, plump prawns, and crisp vegetables. The sauce is rich and savory, coating each strand of noodle in a delightful medley of flavors.

With its warm ambiance, friendly service, and mouthwatering dishes, this restaurant is a true gem for anyone craving the taste of Penang without having to travel far. Whether you're a seasoned Penang foodie or a newcomer to Malaysian cuisine, this restaurant is sure to leave you...

This is a simple restaurant located in Damansara Jaya area.

They serve individual cooked Chinese dishes or noodle dishes. Set meals are also available. Their food selections are wide. The qualities and tastes serve are good.

Their wantan noodle dishes are good.

The drink selections are usual restaurant drinks selections.

Prices are very reasonable.

Services are reasonable and fast.

Cleanliness is acceptable.

Parkings are mainly roadside parkings. May be difficult to get a parking space during peak hours.

Patrons on wheelchairs can patronize this restaurant with some inconveniences.

27-11-2022 : Business operations are back to normal. Prices had inevitably increased slightly but still very competitive and reasonable. Food portions and quality maintained. Cash and e-wallet payments are accepted here.

20-06-2023 : Quality and food portions are maintained. Enjoyed their Dry Curry Wan Tan Mee.

31-08-2025 : Tried their Penang Authentic Street Food. Both the Penamg White Curry Mee Hoon and Fried Kueh...

This is the KL Branch of a wildly popular wantan mee shop in Penang. And I must say it has managed to bring the same taste here quite well. Nestled in the Damansara Jaya enclave, away from the Atria side of things, it’s not difficult to find this place as it’s neighbour is a famous clay pot chicken rice shop. The restaurant is quite modest in nature for an eatery, brightly lit and has comfortably spaced tables. The menu features not only their famous wantan mee but also a host of dishes you can have with rice, and their Penang specials like Hokkien Mee (prawn mee) and curry mee as well, weekend specials include Hokkien char and even Oh (oyster) mee as well. So the proof is in the taste - they excel in the wantan mee, but surprisingly their Sar Hor fun is also a winner! The other Penang fare is good... not great, but it meets the mark. Good to come for a quick bite. Parking may be a bit horrendous during weekdays but weekends are pretty easy to find a place to park.

Decided to give this place another try after few years of not patronising them. Conclusion-so so. Ordered white curry me as I had cravings but the taste was neither good or bad. Just another bowl of noodle soup. The pork blood doesn’t have a stench but somehow I still felt it wasn’t fresh as I have had better pork blood else where where the texture was more plump. This was towards the mushy side. Prawn was the crystal type which I know was soaked in some concoction that enables it to last longer. Not too good for the body. Very wise. I ordered sweet potato leaves. They were old and not too fresh, there was an occasional few bites where I got fresher veg. They mixed old and young leaves together.. The carrots in it had a sour taste.
