A pleasant place to have all your food for the day while promoting camaraderie and pleasantness at the same time. This is really a "home" away from home. Hence repeated clientele is the strongest and best term to describe this place. You start by having breakfast with two half boiled eggs with roti-bakar and a cup of tea or coffee from the anchor owner who only serves drinks and some tidy bits. It a family owned anchor with siblings as cashier , preparing beverages and serving the customers. As for brunch and lunch you have other sub hawkers with a medley of chicken chops, spaghetti Bolognese, Carbonara and Oglio Aglio. Bakuteh and various noodle soups and rice -both fried and porridge- with a selection of fish, vegetables , seafood and meat dishes to choose from. A mixture of Western and Oriental Chinese cuisines at prices the layman can afford. Dinner has the same choice but one have to be there at 7pm to enjoy the full range of dishes to select from. As for desserts you have the typical Chinese cakes and Pows- lotus seeds, chicken or meats- to relished from. . Soft liquors and various makes of beers are served for those who likes to finish off with some hard knocks.
A truly awesome and Delightful place for the home away from home diners and daily stopover for any meals of the day.
You can bring your own special brand of Chinese tea as a bonus. It will be served in teapots and small cups to complete the ambience of " August Tea Garden ".

Read moreA typical neighbourhood kopitiam. Have only tried the Pork Noodle & Kampar Noodle. I must say the western stall did look rather busy, i must try that next. The pork noodle was quite good. We had the dry version and it came with generous amount of minced pork. If i were to rate just this, it will be fair to give it a solid 4 stars. The Kampar Noodle on the other hand was a bit on the mediocre. Tasting quite bland but perhaps would suite some tastesbuds. On the whole, can safely say that this will remain a neighbourhood kopitiam, serving the immediate area.
Update October 2021! Back 4 Western! The Western Food stall is THE BOMBZ! If i were to rate Restoran Yu Yiee purely on this single stall...... its Full Marks 5 star for me! Nice portions and caringly plated ...... that i even forgot how stuffy the restaurant was. Oh the Western Food stall is now open 9am to 9pm and opens all days...
