If you want to try out many cut of Wagyu beef, this would be your next place. This my experience at this restaurant: The service and atmosphere was nice, mr Danny was very attentive. Not so crowded place so you can have a peaceful meal. 5/5 We ordered 398rm set for 2 person, there is an seafood plater complimentary if you order more than 2 beef set, the prawns and scallops were big and fresh. the sushi platers was nicely presented and fresh, the wasabi is in the higher quality side. However, all the fish was oily fish, would be nice if there is lean fish like tuna since the Wagyu is very fatty alrd 4.5/5 -the main course of the day was the Wagyu beef, all beautifully presented and nicely marbled as per expected from Wagyu (as per the cert, its from Miyazaki prep). This is my 1st time Wagyu experience so i have high expectations for this and they really delivered. The beef was very soft and tasty, they provide kombu salt which goes very well with the beef. They also gave 1 free caviar set so u can try it together so it a plus. 5/5 they also have rack of lamb as side dish, however the lamb was dry and quite oily so i not enjoy it so much. 2/5 the beef for shabu shabu was just ok, the soup also ok only, however the main was the grilled Wagyu so i give this a pass 3/5 1 downside of all of this is after 1 round of all Wagyu cuts, we are kind of full and could not touch all the seafood plater and shabu shabu. Since it a buffet dinner so we didnt ask for take away so it kindy wasteful, if u dont wanna eat seafood, u can ask them to skip it. Just head up, the Wagyu was extremely nice but after many pieces, the fattiness of the wagyu will hit you and make you feel full very fast. After all, i will still give this restaurant 5/5 since it a very good Wagyu experience.
Extra note, the staff may not know what cards promotion is running so u might want to inform them when asking for the bill. I used standard chartered card so 30% off was a nice touch.
Other note: the service charge and gst was based on the original price instead of discounted price like usually in other restaurant so be...
Read moreIt started off like a mystery game. We arrived at the main entrance, only to find it locked. Surprise! The entrance is actually on the side, and then you have to climb to the second floor. It felt like I was entering some secret VIP club—minus the red carpet.
Once we finally cracked the code and got in, the staff gave us a nice introduction to the restaurant and menu. The meal kicked off with some miso soup, sashimi, fried beef balls, and salad. Not much to say about the sashimi—I’m not a fan, so I'll leave that to the sushi enthusiasts out there. The miso soup was pretty good, with bits of fish swimming around in the first round. If you go for a refill, though, it's like the fish went on strike—no fish in sight! But still, it's a nice, warm drink to start off.
As for the fried beef balls, well, they were just fried beef balls. No fireworks, no magic tricks, just your average, run-of-the-mill beef balls.
Then came the main event: the wagyu. Different cuts, juicy, and everything you expect wagyu to be. You know how wagyu is supposed to taste—melt-in-your-mouth, buttery goodness. No complaints there.
I also tried a few lamb chops because I’m one of those people who love the strong mutton flavor. Sadly, these lamb chops were a little too fancy for my taste. Super fresh and high quality, but they didn’t have that gamey flavor I crave. Even after requesting no condiments, it was still like the lamb went to a spa before ending up on my plate—no strong smell or taste. So, if you’re like me and want that 'lamby' lamb, you might be a bit let down.
Service was top-notch, though. The staff were professional and friendly, making us feel like royalty. So, while the food had its ups and downs, the service made up for it. Overall, a fun experience—just don’t be surprised if you feel like you're on a treasure hunt just...
Read moreI went to PJ branch last night, wagyu was good, shashimi fresh. However all the free flow drinks had a weird taste, I think the water filter needs to be checked.
The other feedback is the service. The whole shop was of foreign workers. Thats ok however, they made me feel Very hurried and rushed throughout the meal. And worst, at the end of our meal, our waitress came into the room on the dot (120 mins dining time) and clear the table immediately, almost throwing plates and cutleries into her cart, making very loud noises. Like asking us to leave immediately. Very bad experience.
Atmosphere could be better especially when ur paying premium price for premium food. Whole place is very dark, looks very dodgy from outside. Dining area divided by partition. Could hear everything next door. Was also pressured by worker to leave review in Google.
Another thing to highlight is the fact that they will serve the wagyu again (max 4 types, see my pic and video to have an idea of the portion) when you have finished. It's not exactly free flow as service can take some time to replenish. It was OK for us as we are only 2. But might be a problem when it's a bigger party when food is served slow.
We wanted to order alcoholic drinks as its Valentines Day celebration, however our waitress said not available. But it says here in their FB promotional video that alcoholic drinks are available. Something small but still, wrong info and misleading advertising.
All in all, it was honestly not a very pleasant overall experience. For this kind of price, I expected better looking restaurant, and more attentive service. Therefore, will not repeat nor recommend others unless they improve...
