I have been to Bean Brothers (KD Branch) more than five times, and unfortunately, each visit has left me feeling disappointed. Here are my concerns:
Firstly, while the food portions are decent, the kitchen staff seems unable to comply with simple requests. I can't eat semi-cooked eggs due to stomach issues, and despite asking for fully cooked poached eggs, they would inform me that they're unable to do anything about it. It's frustrating when your preferences are not taken into consideration.
Secondly, the menu options are limited, and it's not uncommon for them to run out of stock, leaving you with only a few items to choose from. This lack of variety is disappointing, especially when you're looking forward to trying something specific.
Moreover, the lack of communication about the kitchen closing time is a major issue. On one occasion, I waited at the cash register to order fries, only to find out that the kitchen had already closed. It would have been helpful if they had informed customers in advance, saving us the hassle of waiting for no reason.
The restroom situation is also quite unpleasant. The toilet stinks horribly, probably due to the location of the drain. Additionally, the hand wash is consistently diluted with water, which reduces its effectiveness. It's essential to maintain a clean and odor-free environment, especially in high-traffic areas like the restroom.
On a positive note, I want to mention the exceptional service and friendly attitude I experienced at the Bean Brothers branch at The Linc, KL. They consistently provide quality food and are always willing to accommodate customer requests. I hope the KD branch can learn from their example.
Overall, I urge the management of Bean Brothers to address these issues. Improving customer service, ensuring food is cooked to order, expanding menu options, and maintaining clean facilities will undoubtedly enhance the dining experience. I hope my feedback helps them make the necessary improvements for future customers.

Read moreA few people recommended to my husband this coffee joint. When I arrived, I was a little sceptical as it's in a factory and looks pretty uninviting on the outside. It even have stray dogs lounging on the pavement that was facing the gate, giving it an abandoned building sort of feel. The entrance door is on the side of the building, a huge picture window glass door with dark rusty metal frame and as I was approaching, I got the whiff of fragrant coffee smell which brings my hopes up. As soon as we enter, there's a cute girl in a dark polo shirt and dark jeans who greeted us and lead us to the counter to make orders, as that is the custom here. The counter cum cashier lad help us to choose the drinks and cake well. Once orders been made, a buzzer is given so we will know when to self pick up from serving counter. The space inside is big, it being a factory, even a 2nd floor. Industrial bars made in to table and bar legs, medium brown wooden table tops, we are free to choose our sitting arrangement. We choose a table with metal chairs and cushion bench sitting. Lighting is dim with naked yellow bulbs hanging from wires in different height and length, giving it artistic vibe. Dark fans swirling from really high ceiling keeps the environment cool even though the place is almost at 80% full. It's very comfortable to eyes and body to be here. The Flat White is good. I feel sleepy after the cup which means the beans have plenty of flavonoids still. The Burnt Cheese Cake is firm and thinly burnt, which I like as well as the serving steel plate and dessert fork. The Ice Chocolate Mint is so delicious, I will come back for this. It's like drink liquid After Eight, I love it!
On the upside, yes, I like that Bean Brothers hires capable polite staffs, and put together nice play of lights and furnishing arrangement.
On the down side, for the pricing, it would have been better if the F&B is send to the table, instead of self pick up, as I can get similar or better coffee else where, which of similar or cheaper price range, with much...
Read moreHaving enjoyed my early experiences at Bean Brothers in Petaling Jaya, I recently revisited the cafe and wanted to share my thoughts. Bean Brothers is a Korean chain of cafes known for its industrial design and extensive food menu. In the early years, I had pleasant experiences and enjoyed the atmosphere.
While the coffee at Bean Brothers remains safe and consistent, it may not offer any standout or exciting flavors. It’s worth noting that during my recent visit, I noticed the absence of Korean baristas, which could have affected the authenticity and quality of the coffee.
The service experience had its drawbacks, as it felt off during my visit. There seemed to be some issues with staff direction, the staff had to be reminded by (whom I could only imagine were) upper management to serve me. This affected the overall customer experience and left room for improvement.
Unfortunately, the tiramisu cake was a disappointment. It didn’t meet expectations in terms of taste and overall enjoyment, which was surprising given the variety offered on the menu.
The cafe itself tends to be crowded, especially on the ground floor. This can make it challenging to have conversations with friends, particularly as a table of four. It appears that Bean Brothers has been set up more for individuals studying or working, given the substantial number of people engaged in those activities. This may impact the overall ambiance for those seeking a more relaxed environment.
Lastly, the orange juice I ordered didn’t meet expectations either. It lacked freshness, had an artificial taste reminiscent of cordial, and emitted a strong...
