🌟 Bookmark Cafe that located in PJ is amazing! Even on Sundays, it’s peaceful and not too noisy. 🌳 The spacious environment ensures we can have a conversation without hearing every word from the next table. Unlike some other cafés, sometimes we would hear the conversations of the table that next to us 😂
🍝 Both my fiancé and I were craving pasta, so we ordered their recommended pasta dishes. 🍽️ The portions were generous, and the flavors were delightful. But what truly stood out was the uniqueness of their dishes. 🍴 For instance, their Carbonara with crispy bacon was accompanied by the unexpected addition of 🍄 Hericium erinaceus mushrooms! It’s these little surprises that make this café truly special. Can’t wait to go back!
☕ Apart from their delicious food, they are famous for their Art Coffee! 🎨 You can simply tell them what design you want, and they’ll create it for you! It’s like having a barista artist. 🎉 I got myself a panda and minion and my Fiance got himself his favourite character Ace from One piece!
💰 One of the friendliest aspects of this café is that they don’t charge any service tax! It’s a considerate gesture. We had two pasta dishes, three cups of coffee, and a slice of cake, all for less than RM100! 😲 In comparison, other places easily charge over RM60 per person for just two drinks and two main dishes… They definitely know how to make you feel valued. Highly recommended! 🌟
🙌 I hope they continue to maintain their exceptional quality...
Read moreBookmark Coffee was a hit in Cheras - my first and only experience wasn't that memorable actually. Imagine that you went to the cafe in hoping to enjoy coffee only to find the whole place was packed. On top of it, I had to wait for the coffee art that I requested to be drawn on my cup of latte took more than one hour to be done. So yeah.. I was sceptical when they decided to open up another offshoot in PJ.
However, I made it a point to visit a cafe at least once before deciding whether to keep or strike off my list. So I went on a Sunday afternoon - located in the spanking new PJ Midtown building, I sighed with relief when there wasn't many people when we arrived. The cafe was very spacious and bright, perfect for a lazy afternoon.
As per my SOP, I didn't order any food although they do offer food in the menu. I went for their coffee and a piece of cake. Do take note that regular milk-based coffee are available either in regular coffee art or customised art. They have a personnel that will paint your coffee art on the spot based on your chosen pictures. All you have to do is to send the picture to the given number and wait for your turn. It took 20 minutes before our turn which was not too shabby - I had the 刘, Jungkook (kids these days are crazy for boybands) and a cute unicorn (smallest one wanted her unicorn). The signature coffee cheese cake was quite good so our whole afternoon...
Read moreI tried all genre of food, all was nice! The good part of it probably was due to good ingredients. Good services too. Their latte art is so so pretty. There's free WiFi available. Currently free parking in the building. French rose tea - very fragrant, pure flower tea Matcha Choc RM12 - very chocolatey and can still have matcha taste, not sweet Irish cream latte RM12 - interesting flavour Fries RM9 - super fluffy! Cornflake chicken cheesy sauce RM26 - very good sauce, well cooked chicken, enough salad (not like some place give one helai of Vege), good waffle fries. Mama choc cake RM11 - cheap cake for cafe pricing. Not bad! I think their cake selection changes tho.
Tried their Vege dishes today. Monkeyhead mushrooms were very well done, had this in Agrain and almost threw up but never knew it's actually this good. Sambal was great. Scrambled eggs were one of the best I had. Tempeh is so-so. After more than 10 dishes I've finally found some really minor flaw (which is amazing, most restaurants only make 1-2 dishes well) - broccoli tasted raw (like greens) but at the same time soggy, not sure what went wrong.
Updating for more food and menu pics. So far yet to experience a bad dish yet.
Their services were also too good & polite to the extent you'll feel awkwardly...
