Two of the stalls here used to operate at the former Tian Tian Lai corner kopitiam down the road which has now changed hands and name.
The two stalls are the chicken, roasted pork and charsiu rice stall operated by Ah Wai and the Homemade Yong Tau Foo stall operated by Lim.
I've been patronising both stalls since they were at the former shop down the road. In fact, my patronage of Ah Wai goes all the way back to when he first started at Subang Jaya SS15. By the way, you may like to know that Ah Wai's sifu is the famous and popular roast pork rice vendor in R.A.M Food Corner kopitiam in USJ18.
The quality of Ah Wai's roasted stuff, sad to say, has gone down over time. Earlier was very good. His sifu's quality has also likewise deteriorated.
However, my favourite Lim's ytf fried fuchuk is still the best I've eaten so far. And being a fried fuchuk aficionado, I've eaten a lot of fried fuchuk by many different vendors all over the place.
Most fried fucuk may be crispy but Lim's is both crispy and fluffy with thick, flavourful filling (paste). Very nice and delicious! So far, have not come across anything like Lim's elsewhere. And to his credit, he's been able to maintain that quality over time.
Every time I visit, I'll only order fried fuchuk and nothing else. His other ytf items may or may not be better than other ytf stalls but his fried fuchuk is definitely superb and a class above.
During peak hours, one may have to wait 40-60 minutes to be served. It's mainly because he uses a small wok to fry in small batches. And he only fries to order. You don't see the ytf pre-fried on standby. So, if you can wait, you'll definitely be rewarded with the freshest ytf. When orders pile up, Lim can get cranky and snappy. Beware! 😄
The other stalls that I've tried before are: Char kway teow - mediocre Curry mee - mediocre Cucur udang - good Kai see hor fun - good because it's a licencee of Wong Zhi. Coffee and tea - mediocre
Lim's Homemade Yong Tau Foo stall operates from 8am-3pm except Mondays.
You may refer to one of the photos for his range of ytf items and price.
Shop has a big outdoor seating area complemented by a small air-conditioned indoor section.
Toilet Score: Better than kopitiam standard.

Read moreYesterday morning my sister drove me to this place to buy some snacks for brunch as well as buy 3 pax of chicken rice. This was my 1st time coming to this place . I was amazed to find so many Chinese customers seated inside as well as outside beside 3 huge shady trees. They were all eating brunch or having early dinner. So many youngsters were there too. I guessed it’s still Hari Raya holidays which also coincide with the school holidays. This restaurant has taken up 2 shop lots with many hawker stalls selling a wide variety of food on the left hand side of the shop. On the right hand side is the air- conditioned section where customers can eat n drink in cool n quiet comfort. On the right side of the shop the 1st stall sells freshly baked handmade bread n pastries. All the various types of buns, doughnuts n pastries were all hygienically packed n sealed up. The next stall is the Heng Cakoi selling the thin , crispy prawn fritters with many shrimps in them. I bought 4 such paper thin crispy prawn fritters as snacks n some other fried Chinese krullers . Opposite these stalls are the Pan Mee stall n the Fish Head noodle n braised rice stall. On the left hand side is the famous Tian Tian chicken rice stall . I like this chicken rice with juicy roasted chicken n barbecued pork n roasted pork. So I bought 3 packets of chicken rice with the 3 different types of roasted meat. The prices are very reasonable too. Next to this stall is the fried koayteow n fried rice stall. After that is the Chiangmai food stall. No wonder there were so many customers here- cos there’s such a huge variety of food to suit everybody’s appetite! After buying my food, I left for home. We ate every morsel of food n snack up. What an enjoyable...
