Cha Can Ting | 茶餐厅 — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Being generous with the ratings cos it’s pet friendly. I’ve noticed it’s quality has been sliding over the past half year. Especially during dinner time. Cleanliness - can be better. Staff smoking at the dining tables. Parking - no issues always ample. Service - management should at least provide basic language training for their staff. I’ve been overcharged once, and shortchanged once - all due to miscomm. Drinks - no options for sugarless drinks esp at night. Chinese tea is always unavailable (just don’t bother putting it in the menu) Food - really nothing great, mediocre offerings at best. Always struggle to decide what to order during dinner as most stalls are closed early. Don’t think we’re returning anytime soon. Last straw was today when one of the workers started grumbling under her breath and giving us the eye for no apparent reason - all we did was politely ask her to wipe the table. My all time favourite kopitiam at Ara Damansara, in term of kopitiam environment, food varieties and price are meet my requirements. I can slowly enjoy my meal with the nice music & songs playing here, this is very rare can hear from others kipitiam.

DOUBLE THUMBS UP for the owner, very friendly person & i personal saw before, how he treat his customers. here also a "truly" PETS FRIENDLY PLACE will bring you the happiness for the children n family's what i mean "truly" is they dont have double standard rules for fur kids. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PETS FRIENDLY PLACE.

You will defitenitely find the food can meet your taste requirement in CHAR CHAN TENG In overall, the reason i gave 4.5🌟 is one of the store lady owner (nyonya laksa & rojak store) , her play hard to get attitute really turn me off. Aa customer, who want to see her black face in the Sunday morning, gave her business still need to see her mood.

Check out for more food stores n seating area at their extention zone. Oh ya! Almost forgotten, their coffee & drinks are nice...

There are 5 things I want to highlight: Pet friendly Digitalised transaction Good vibes Local vendors Food varieties

I really like the fact that even though most of the stalls accept cashless transaction, they will also accept cash for elderly people (from my observation).

All the vendors are also friendly and helpful among each other based on my observation. There is few time when the food that I want to order is sold out, they will recommend me to other stalls and give me few suggestions (not pushy tho). There are also times I saw that when other stall ran out of food supply, they would ask from other stall for the supply.

On top of that the foods from each vendor are pretty decent too! (I’ve tried chicken rice stall, beef noodles, pork noodles, curry noodles, hor fun, fish ball noodles, yong tau foo, dim sum, youtiao, fried noodles stall)

It’s always good experience with Cha Can Ting...
