Gino's recipe is the perfect recipe for a delightful evening. The restaurant gives off a classy retro vibe -nothing too extravagant- to keep anyone comfortable enough to fully indulge what's on their plate without worrying too much about what's in their wallet.
Risotto Con Funghi (RM24.50) Every spoonful of risotto is intensely flavored with a generous amount of mushrooms, capturing a warm & inviting taste that you'd find in Italian kitchens.
Pizza Gino's Quattro (RM29.50) This pizza is a tasty reason that will never out of season. A combination of 4 flavors (or 2 if you'd like) to give patrons who can't decide on just one, like myself. Crisp, thin and not too overpowering, every slice is not one to disappoint!
Creme Brulee (RM10.80) Ending the night on a sweet note, the creme brulee is the creme de la creme of the many other desserts available. Thin caramelized sugar, carefully torched, over a rich custard base. One gentle tap with the back of the spoon and the layer of sugar cracks open, mimicking a chef's kiss...
Read moreUsed to come here with my kids and we loved the place.
Today, was an utter disappointment. We came in at 630pm and place our orders (there were only 3 tables dining in). Was informed order will take approx 30 mins to get our orders ready.
At 720pm I received a msg saying that the orders was still not ready. To which I responded the WhatsApp asking them what time shd I come by to collect. No reply.
At 730pm I go over to the restaurant (with 3 tables dining in) and was told that my orders is still not ready and needed another 10 mins to get part of my orders (3 out of 5 orders). And the other 2 pizzas, they cannot fulfill as they are out of cheese. It did not occur to them when they were taking in orders of pizza for the day that there was a possibility for a cheese shortage)
So. If i had not turned up at the restaurant personally to follow up on my orders, I would have to walk away with partial order (note : I had Muslim guests in my home waiting...
Read moreHeard decent reviews of this place online but upon arrival was skeptic of the place because at 8pm on a Friday night there was absolutely no one.
Was greeted by a lively waiter and picked a nice spot. Choice of menu was extensive. Creamed Mushroom soup is not can but blended, light and a great start.
Gf likes the grilled chicken salad, serving was humongous and was a mixture of various colours Vege’s dressed with a light vinaigrette. The chicken adds the salt to the dish.
Carbonara came next. Quality wise, almost on par with the middle-top Italian restaurant out there. Generous Fresh cream, al dente fettuccine, sautéed beef bacon.
We opt for the Gino Quattro pizza. 4 toppings on a pizza. Dough and tomato base was good, however toppings could be improved slightly. Currently feels a tad too simple and cheap.
Overall with this price, it doesn’t get any better than this for a good cheap Italian food in D’sara/PJ area. Trust me,...
