I've seen many mixed reviews here, but my experience was genuinely positive. The menu has a good variety to choose from, and the prices are very reasonable compared to regular kopitiams where a bowl of noodles starts at RM8 or more these days. The air-conditioned setting adds to the comfort, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy a meal. The Hainanese noodles (RM10) were flavorful and satisfying, and the fried beehoon (RM5) was simple yet delicious. Both dishes offered great value for the price. I’m already planning to come back to try their chicken chop, which looks promising! The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a great dining experience. Whether you’re dropping by for breakfast, lunch, or a quick coffee break, i recommend for anyone looking for a satisfying and affordable meal in a cozy environment!
Continued 31/12: Visited Hainan Kopitiam Kaw Kaw Energy for the second time, drawn back by their chicken chop, and it did not disappoint. The crispy, perfectly seasoned skin combined with tender, juicy meat makes it truly satisfying. This cafe will become my go-to spot whenever I crave a good chicken chop. I'm glad they continue to deliver flavors that keep me coming...
Read moreThe food is not just bad value for the price, it's actually bad. I will be going back to my regular kopitiams nearby.
Nasi lemak: The rice is hard just like the ikan billis, like you can build a house with them as nails. The sambal is devoid of any taste, the same goes for the curry chicken (not savoury, sweet, salty or spicy, LIKE HOW?!) And the amount of sambal they give is like the smallest teaspoon amount (a blessing in disguise really). Also, DO NOT order the chicken meat version because you will get less meat than you'd get from a quail bird. You can do better going to Nasi Lemak Shop, Village Park, or even the kopitiams nearby because this place set the new minimum for what can be considered a "nasi lemak".
Drinks: Guys, you have a brick and mortar shop, why are you using PLASTIC DISPOSABLE CUPS and STRAWS?! The earth doesn't need more plastics, just use reusable cups like a normal shop. Otherwise, at least give me a heads-up so that I can bring my own tumbler!
Bread: The only actual nice thing to eat here. Bread is toasted well and there's a decent amount of kaya and PB....

The seating is comfortable and air-conditioned, which makes it a good spot to escape the heat and enjoy a quiet meal. It wasn’t crowded during my visit, which added to the relaxed vibe.
Don’t expect anything fancy or hyped up. This place delivers what a kopitiam should – no gimmicks, just straightforward food and a clean setting.
Tried their Kampung Fried Rice, and it tasted good. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely enjoyable. The half-boiled eggs were served already cracked and ready to eat – a small detail, but it saved me the hassle of dealing with shells and sticky hands.
If you're looking for a chill, no-frills place for a decent local meal, this is worth dropping by. I’ll be coming back again when I want a simple,...
