tried this restaurant in July’24 during a weekday dinner hour. There were not many diners at the ground level, and the restaurant was quite empty that day. I heard they have private dining rooms located on the upper level. The ambiance is alright, though the tables are a bit too close to each other, which can make conversations feel less private.
The staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is quite good. However, what impressed me the most was the food. The waiting time for the food was a bit longer than expected, which made me wonder why the kitchen took so long, especially since there was only one table ahead of me and no others. Nevertheless, I guess it was worth the wait after all.
tried the Hora Prawn Toasties, which come with an herb orange dressing and caviar. They tasted pretty good and were recommended by the staff.
For the main course, ordered the following:
Wagyu Picanha Rump Cap - asked for medium rare, but it was more medium and had a bit of a chewy texture, which wasn't to my liking. The dressing was nice, but the meat texture was bit letting down. This was my least favorite dish.
Bincho Grill Chicken Leg - This was juicy and tender, paired with a chili sauce. Overall, it was well-matched and delicious.
Pan-Seared Red Snapper - This dish was highly recommended by the staff and it turned out great. The red snapper was perfectly pan-seared, maintaining a smooth texture. Unlike some thicker cuts of fish that end up undercooked, Hora got it just right. It was paired with a curry-like sauce, which was quite impressive and tasty.
Hora Frixum Rice - This is their signature rice dish, featuring fried squid, seaweed, and a fresh egg yolk. I highly recommend trying this rice as it tasted amazing. The fried squid was well-seasoned, and when mixed with the squid ink aioli and fresh egg yolk, it was truly impressive!
Their menu currently offers limited choices, but the food I tried was really tasted good. Can tell that the chefs put a lot of hard work and heart into preparing the dishes, ensuring they meet their standards and requirements. This new restaurant is definitely worth a try. I'm looking forward to seeing more variety...

We shared wasabi tuna tartare as appetiser. Hubby loved it, though personally for me, the mayonnaise could be a tad lighter. Amazing hospitality from the team. Head waiter saw that we had leftover tuna and proactively asked whether we would like extra gyoza skin to accompany the tuna. Kudos to the team for the service and attentiveness!
Main course for hubby was fish, a generous portion of fish. The skin was not crispy, probably because snapper isn’t an easy fish to pan sear for crispy skin.
I had the chicken. At first taste, the sauce was amazing, loved the bell pepper. The chips give texture & crunchiness to the overall dish. Smart to pair the acidity and freshness of the salsa with the sweet creamy sauce. Though towards the end of dish, I did find the sauce a tad sweet and heavy on my palate, perhaps I should have eased up on it.
Our favourite of the night surprisingly turned out to be the dessert. The tres leches was amazingly light and mildly sweet. What a great combo to pair it with the refreshing calamansi curd!! Loved it!!

Read moreAbsolutely enjoyed my dinner at Hora Feliz. Every item was so delicious! The standouts were the shoyu beef taco and crab meat tostadas. Every item within those 2 dishes went so well with each other that I cant stop raving about them to my wife. The beef was really tender too. Next in line was the prawn toasts where we were really impressed with the texture of the bread, crispy on the outside soft on the inside. And the flavours were so on point once again. We had the Australian wagyu rump and scallop angel hair for mains and while they were really delicious as well (the scallops were perfectly cooked and the potato mousse had a really nice texture), they were a little overshadowed by just how good the starters were. The apple crumble tart was nice too but I felt the ice cream that came with it was a little too coarse for my liking. Portions a bit small but definitely worth the price based on the quality. The pour for the house wine was quite generous. Service was really prompt, friendly and courteous. Quite liked the song playlet too. Will...
