Few weeks ago, I went to Section 17. PJ to have Wanton Noodles but the seller was not operating. Hence, I went over to Kedai Kopi Yun Kei for the first time to try their curry noodles. I ordered a big bowl that cost at RM11. 50. The curry broth was not rich and lacking of coconut milk and curry fragrant. However, the curry oil inside the broth was way too much for me. Hence, I did not really enjoyed this curry noodles. Worst still, the poached chicken was chopped and served in a mess because the flesh and bones were separated. No Siham and the beansprouts were way too little also. Long beans were over cooked until it became too soggy. My sister ordered Curry Wanton Noodles with Barbecue Pork Siu Yok which even worst. The noodles texture was very soggy and not al-dente. The Siu Yok skin was so hard and not crispy at all. The seller even poured a bit of thicken curry gravy onto the Siu Yok. In the end, we both left with huge disappointment. I have not tried other stalls in this Kedai Kopi hence cannot give other...

This is a coffee shop with a number of stalls.

The stalls serve good curry noodles and reasonable chicken rice. Their roast pork in the roast pork curry noodles is nice with crispy roasted skin. The Fried Koay Teow is good too.

The coffee shop sells the usual drinks.

The prices are reasonable. Cash and e-wallet payments are accepted here.

Cleanliness is good.

Service depends on the time. May have a short wait during peak hours. Generally waiting time is short.

Parkings are roadside parkings.

Patrons on wheelchairs can patronize this shop easily.

04-06-2023 : The coffee shop is operating without any Covid-19 restrictions. Prices had increased slightly but still competitive and reasonable. The Curry Noodles with additional Roasted Pork is still fantastic. Sad to note that the Fried Kueh Teow stall had...

Da Shi Xiong Steamed Fish This review is only for the steam fish stall that opens in the evening. There isn't a massive menu to choose from. But what they have is simple, well cooked, tasty and fresh. There are a few choices of fish and what sauce it's steamed with. Along with the steamed vegetables, the meal is simply delicious and quite healthy. They also do a perfect steam egg and a harty pork rib, stomach soup. Pricewise, it is reasonable, slightly on the high side for certain types of fish but affordable ranging from RM 30-50 per head. But you pay for the freshness of the fish and veggies. I would recommend this place anytime for it's premium sauces and well steamed dishes. Do go early as people show up before 6pm and sometimes they sell out as...
