Lumi Marketplace (LMP) — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Unfortunately , LMP ramadhan buffet 2025 was not the same anymore that I experienced 2 years ago. Sudah tidak ada lagi konsep deretan modern stall Asian cuisine, Western cuisine etc.

But one keypoint I want to comment from my experience is the management have to be frank with customers. I get that the F&B industries these days are struggling with inflation & have to downsize. From marketing point of view, you masih letak gambar - gambar lama. However , the new designated dining area with its table arrangement & headcounts was absurdly crammed !

In Malay we call it " Berlaga Punggung ". We were squeezing & bumping butts across the floor, among VIPs! You should have watched the faces of diners. I tell you it was embarassing. When you promoted old photos, they were expecting better or at least similar ambiance of past years. But it was not the case. Somehow it was deceiving.

I don't want to complain much about food because it was alright. I don't want to get into the hassle of registration when my name was not on the list, when I arrived right in front of the doorstep. Your ground staff have to embrace my disappointment but still make amends for your mistakes by opening and arranging new table & seats for my group. Therefore I appreciate their humble apologize for the hassle & made swift effort to serve us while we waited patiently.

To future ramadhan buffet customers in coming days. This is a heads-up.

To LMP management. Just be frank. Honesty is best policy. I really had hope I would experience great time again. But that was not the case. So , overall 1 star is what I can offer for ramadhan...

Our company arranged an iftar gathering at a venue that came highly recommended, only to be sorely disappointed by the mishandling of the event by the sales personnel, Maisarah. Despite promising us a private space, we ended up having to share it with another company. The space was cramped, sweltering hot, and poorly ventilated, with over 70 of our staff squeezed in like sardines. To make matters worse, the air-conditioning was malfunctioning, and no additional fans were provided. We were left to fend for ourselves, with our staff having to rearrange tables just to make the space somewhat bearable.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the service was abysmal. Despite the exorbitant number of guests, the food was slow to be replenished, leaving many of us hungry and frustrated. Maisarah's attitude only added insult to injury, as she rolled her eyes when confronted about the numerous issues we faced. THE WORST RAMADAN BUFFET ORGANIZER EVER!!!!

ALREADY MAKE A RESERVATION THRU GOOGLE FORM ON 9/3/2025 AND ATTACHED THE FULL PAYMENT FOR BUFFET ON 15/3/2025. ONCE ARRIVED AT BUFFET PLACE, SAID NOT OPEN TO PUBLIC BUFFET DUE TO HAVE PRIVATE EVENT TODAY. NO EARLY INFO & NO ONE FROM LMP CONTACT ME SAID TODAY CLOSED FOR PRIVATE EVENT!!! WHEN ASKED THEN SAID NO BOOKING WITH MY NAME..WTF!!!!!!! THEN WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF YOUR BOOKING FORM AND I ATTACHED THE TRANSFER SLIP THERE!!! LATER ON SAID THEY CHANGE THE BOOKING SYSTEM FROM GOOGLE FORM TO RESERVATION THRU WHATSAPP!!

JUST IMAGINE WE ARRIVED AT 6.50PM WITH FASTING CHILD EXCITING TO BREAKING FAST HERE THEN ONLY BEEN INFORMED THAT NO BOOKING ON MY NAME AND CLOSED FOR PUBLIC. HOW FRUSTRATED WE ARE!!!
