I would give 5 star for the pho. Love the soup, rich but not sugar sweet. Didn’t feel thirsty after that. I ordered the Australian special beef pho (regular size )which was just nice for 1 person, if you are a big eater, you may need to go for large. Great combinations of different kinds of beef, good beef balls too. However I did not find any tripes. Vietnamese prawn rolls 11Rm for 2 were great too . Peanut sauce that came with it was unique and yummy. You can order extra sauce by paying 1.5 rm. Sugar cane prawn is good, i like it that the sugar cane was still sweet and juicy. I have never really tasted banh mi before, so couldn’t really tell if the banh mi here is exceptionally good or not. But vegetables inside is fresh and crunchy. I guess i would have preferred more seasonings and taste in the filling. The Bread was nice and crunchy. Will come back for more.

Dear owner , thanks for your reply. I ordered a regular pho but was charge the price of a Large pho. As this was my first time in your restaurant. I have no idea whether the pho I was given was indeed a large one, or a regular one. That was my issue. I have no issue with the Rm1 takeaway charge. :) anyway, will visit again. Love your food !

Update: Dear owner, thank you for clarifying. As I did not have a current menu with me, I was referring to a menu posted 2 months ago by Tracy, thinking that it would still be valid, it stated the price of a large pho being 24.50rm. My bad. I have made the necessary amendment. Really appreciate your clarification. Will continue to support your restaurant and you deserve a 5...

Hearty Vietnamese fare in SS2

For the longest time, I’ve been passing by this busy restaurants everytime I go Chow Yang area. A dear friend also claimed that the pho here was quite powerful and suited to his taste bud. It was not until 2 weeks ago that I finally stepped into Pho King for the first time.

A few tables were already occupied by the time we arrived shortly before 7pm - a positive sign. We were quickly shown to our table and menu were placed for browsing purpose.

▪️Appetiser Platter (RM43.90) - for the price, they gave 3 fried spring rolls, 2 fresh summer rolls, 3 lemongrass pork rolls and 2 banana prawn fried rolls. ▪️Special Pork Pho - 3 sizes (mini, regular and large) available.. went for regular RM25.50 that came with rib, pork slices, minced pork, pork balls and ham. ▪️Pork Balls Pho (RM21.50) - it’s an easy choice for the kids who prefer something simple. Same with my special pork pho but only with meatballs. ▪️Beef Stew Rice (RM23.50) - I’ve no comment on this but the sonny who ordered it whacked everything in the claypot including the gravy. I asked on his feedback - “the meat is tender and I like its gravy”. ▪️Braised Pork Knuckle Rice (RM20.50) - slightly too sweet to my liking as I took a small chunk of meat with the thick gravy. But the flavour was spot-on.

Everything came to RM150 inclusive of drinks. And the restaurant was full house by the time I left, with more customers coming in. Must be a favourite with Vietnamese food...

Bad experience during lunch today • 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

So I visited a restaurant & there’s only 1 table that caters for 2 pax But the table is quite small (a square table) and my husband thought we can just go back to a bigger table since we always order portion for 3 pax and it lll not crowded at that moment (there’s only 1 family eating )

my husband requested by asking this lady nicely “ Err can we please go back to this table (table that caters 3 or 4 pax) instead? cos we will actually order a bit more”

Then this lady showed long face and did not say anything by moving the menu back to the table we requested, then from that moment onwards she glared at our area incessantly . The discomfort was almost palpable. ( I can feel it cos i was sitting right opposite her)

Then there was another pair of couple coming in and was asked to sit at the table for 2. Not long after, there was another pair of guests walking in and guess what (as stated earlier, there wasn’t any more table for 2) so naturally they walked to the table for 3/4 just like ours.

So my question is :

Are you telling me we are obligated to take the ONE and ONLY table for 2 just because we are the first guest who come in pair even when there’s completely no crowd at that moment 🤔🤔😑 while those who come later get to sit at the table for 3 ?

What logic is this? 😑

By the way, the portion is little for that kind of price. Unless you are really rich and enjoy eating...

I visited your restaurant for lunch last Sunday. While I understand the restaurant was busy, I believe that should not excuse staff from maintaining professionalism and courteous service. Unfortunately, my experience fell short in several ways: When I requested cili padi, it was brought without the usual fish sauce and soy sauce. Upon asking for these to be added, the staff member (wearing a T-shirt and apron, Chinese young man) appeared visibly irritated, did not smile, and reluctantly took the chili padi from my hand. I later discovered a fly in my warm water and informed another staff member (Indian gentleman at the bar), requesting a replacement. However, no new drink was brought to my table even after 6–7 minutes, and I had to approach the bar again to get it myself. There was no apology for the incident. Lastly, the beef brisket pho, which I regularly order, was extremely disappointing on this visit. The beef slices were overcooked and so tough that they were nearly inedible. While we were offered an exchange after informing a staff member (in a shirt), we initially hesitated to request it as my partner was concerned about potential mishandling due to how busy the restaurant was. I have always enjoyed dining at your establishment, but this experience was disheartening and far from the standard I have come to expect. I hope you will take this feedback constructively to improve both the food quality and customer service.
