I recently visited a Chinese restaurant and had the opportunity to try their Fish Head Noodles and Vegetarian Assam Laksa. In my opinion, both dishes were okay, but I do have some specific feedback to share.
In my opinion, the Fish Head Noodles were served in a generous portion, and I appreciated the abundance of fried fish included in the dish. The broth was satisfactory, but nothing special. One thing that did stand out, however, was the pricing. At RM15 per bowl, the price was slightlt higher than what I would expect to pay for this type of dish, regardless of whether you choose fish head or fish meat.
Moving on to the Vegetarian Laksa, the dish looked visually appealing, and the price was reasonable at RM8.50 per bowl. I'd appreciate the effort of the vendor in preparing the vegetarian version of Assam Laksa as lot of meat based materials has to be replaced with an alternative. However, the broth was okay, and the dish in terms of flavor or texture is ok. I would advise to switch to another types of noodles, as it served with thick beehoon wasn't really suitable for this dish.
Overall, I would say that the Chinese restaurant is average, with nothing too exceptional about the food or the experience. The Fish Head Noodles were satisfactory, but the price was steep, and the Vegetarian Laksa was visually pleasing and...
Read moreVery poor hygiene; especially early mornings, rodents are visible. Would like to comment on chee cheong fun, wantan mee and chicken rice: ccf's foo chook is boiled to perfection and unlike some places, the foo chook are generally over cooked and mushy. And as for wantan mee, char siu is horrible and many flies were seen feasting on the char siu and green chili! And as for chicken rice stall, migrant worker is very courteous..siu yuk is yummy. This siu yuk is one of the best that we had in Klang Valley!
General comments on hygiene: as we were heading towards our car parked at the padang, (opposite station 8 )we saw a migrant worker grilling cuttlefish on the grass with some newspaper beneath it but next to a pile of garbage. And about one feet away there were dog poop. We talked to the worker and he said he was grilling cuttlefish for station 8 but he didnt say which stall. We were shocked that MPPJ even allow this act. This should be done on a proper table top at their premises for hygiene purposes and not next to a pile of garbage! Station 8 needs to work on their hygiene. Their food may be good or commendable but their poor hygiene is a...

STATION 8 COFFEESHOP I am very particular in my choices of Wantan Mee and Pg Curry Mee in PJ/KL. This place makes it to my favorite list.
WANTAN MEE This particular Wantan Mee has the following attributes. Noodles texture = springy Char Siew = not BBQ-ed enough for me in terms of smokiness and meat is too lean. Wantan = average Gravy = nice and wet and it complements the overall dish Green Chillies = well marinated in vinegar Overall Taste = Delicious (4 Stars)
PG CURRY MEE Noodles texture = soft Toppings = cockles, cuttlefish, prawns, tofu puffs and blood cubes (90% complete. Don’t have mint leaves). Soup = average Red Chilli Paste = genuine Pg Curry Mee chilli (fair) Overall Taste = Fair (3 Stars) So far, only this Pg Curry Mee has made my list. It still lacks the kick that the ones in PG has, but I guess this will have to do, as no other stalls in PJ/KL have made...
