Pretty bad mistake to come here for our anniversary. While the food was above average, and we liked how peaceful and cozy the ambience was, the service was shockingly bad.

I was baffled at how dismissive and rude the server was. It’s clear that this place is marketed as an above mid level pricing but I had expected much better service since they were charging a premium price despite the location. There was only one server and her mood was really sour and we felt like it brought down the entire experience. As a yearly anniversary dinner, it’s pretty standard to want to capture the memory with a photo but the server was really reluctant to take our picture. She seemed like she couldn’t wait for us to leave and when I asked nicely if she could help, she looked really annoyed at my request. The photos were taken in a hurry with zero effort, before we could even smile and adjust our posture. The few pictures taken had either me or my partner’s eyes closed or we were still in motion.

I had never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant before. Really baffled as to why this person wants to work in the FnB line if they have some sort of superiority complex that they can’t be bothered to hide. Sion Dining and Bar located on upper floor of a shop lot in Ara Damansara. This is a stylish restaurant suitable for couples, anniversary or birthday event as the environment is quite romantic. The restaurant also have long counter seating lined with wine glasses. They have a huge selection of wine which you can select from their wine cellar. For those who prefer beer, they also have varieties of beer from local, Japanese or German beer. Their menu is quite unique offering fusion food between Japanese, French and Spanish. Most of the food here contains cheese. If you are a cheese lover, you will like this place. The owner of this restaurant seems like Marilyn Monroe so much as her pictures are everywhere in the restaurant. This restaurant is quite popular among the Japanese expatriates who are working around Subang area. I like their ering mushroom with butter sauce which is delicious. Went with friends. Appetisers were good.

However for main dish, my food took almost an hour more than my other friends. Another table that came later already had the food served (and finished). It was a weekday night, only 3 tables occupied.

The squid ink pasta I ordered was lousy. Super salty and lacked any ingredients (or probably it was too little and I cannot taste it). Felt i was eating spaghetti with black salt water.

Waitress was horrendous. No apology or anything like that. Also very hostile and unfriendly. So called high end restaurant but with a lousy service.. this would be my last.

Oh and they have this note that only adults allowed. They dont allow kids. Its fine if they are great and excellent but they are not. You wont be missing...
