Extremely disappointed

Arrived around 12 noon. All of the hype menu were sold out. Out of luck so we proceed to order available item.

Waiting time for EACH meal to arrive is 35min to 1 hour. Mind you this is when there only 3 table of customer ; a table of couple, a table of solo customer and my table of 4 person.

Order 4 item : Seafood Marina Grilled Chicken Sandwich Grilled Beef Burger Grilled Chicken Chop

Each item arrived 20min after each meal arrived. For example, 30min after ordering, the grilles chicken sandwich arrived. Next 20min of waiting, then next meal arrived. And another 20min of waiting the 3rd meal arrived and it continue until all meal arrived. This is outrages, 1 person finished his meal, then the next meal arrive for the 2nd person.

OVERPRICE compared to the FOOD QUALITY.

Grilled beef burger is 3/10. I am no picky eater but i am shocked that the beef patty was grilled with 0 seasoning. You can taste the flavour of plain bland meat grilled with oil. The only flavour for the whole burger comes solely from the melted cheese and yellowish sauce (not sure if its mustard or mayo or both or other thing). The description mention charcoal bun. But it taste the same like normal bun (appologise if the bun should taste as how it was presented to me, its due to my lack of knowledge on type of bun).

Seafood Marine and Grilled Chicken Sandwich were good. Beautiful presentation and flavour. Grilled chicken chop was 50/50. (2 of us like it, and another 2 of us didnt prefer it)

The ambient of cafe was extremely nice. Relaxing and harmony. Beautiful lake scenery. Customer service is on point except the waiting time for each meal to arrived.

My two cents:

please dont serve bland tastless beef paty burger with whopping price of Rm27. Please please pleaseeeee dont even put it in the menu until...

Cafe is attached to a bike rental service and a bike attire shop. So much Scandanavian/Aussie cafe vibes here. Can't comment on the bike rental as I will be bringing my own bike here. Attire merch on sale really looks super cool and if I have the budget will definitely want to buy one day.

Plenty on the menu but do ask what is available as it seems they take their stock from their main outlet in KL. On day of review, they did not have sourdough bread so I got sandwich bread instead.

Only managed to try their chicken sandwich on day of review. A tad too much spicy sauce to my liking but most people in the vicinity might appreciate it better than I do. Matcha tea was well done and not added with excessive amounts of sugar. Total damage was RM27 and wasn't excessively priced in my opinion.

Staff is very friendly and was apologetic when I got mad at them for not opening at 8am (their promised opening hour is 7am and explicitly told me the day before my morning visit that they will be ready by 8am, as they need time to prepare the food and coffee machine). They are nonetheless around at 6pmish so you can have a proper dinner here after work.

However as they are having manpower shortages at time of writing, expect opening hours to differ wildly. Go at your own risk in the morning. So far they are still open in the evenings and I hope it stays that way for years to come.

Update: Unfortunately I will not be able to have their breakfast menu on weekdays as they only open at 9am and I start work at 9am. Menu has become more extensive and their chicken tenders...

My experience was bad in 3 ways:

A number of dishes and coffee were not available.

Their coffee maker was not working so no coffee was available. I tried to order a carbonara, but was told it was not available and then tried to order another food but again the food was unavailable. The cashier told us they ran out of whipping cream. I was very perplexed at the fact that a cafe/restaurant failed to ensure that they have the necessary ingredients in stock. A failure which caused half of their menu to be unavailable. I can understand the failure of the coffee maker, though.

The food arrived quite late.

My friend and I ended up ordering avocado toast and an aglio olio. The avocado toast came after half an hour. At this point we still haven’t received the aglio olio.

One of the servers did not have good customer service.

After waiting for almost an hour, I asked the server if my food was already being prepared. The server immediately became defensive and told me that my table only ordered 1 dish, confidently claiming that he printed out the receipt for my order and that he knows that we only ordered 1 dish. I told him that wasn’t true and we definitely ordered 2 dishes. I told him to check the system, which he did reluctantly and I was right. We did order 2 dishes. The server managed to mumble a “Sorry…”. A good customer service protocol should have been to CHECK FIRST before being defensive and accusing the customer.

I only gave 2 stars for the ambiance and the food. The food was quite okay. But I probably will never return due to the...
