A Stunning Urban Oasis

Putrajaya Square is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Kuala Lumpur. The expansive, well-maintained grounds are a perfect blend of modern architecture and lush greenery. The iconic Perdana Putra building, with its distinctive dome, is a sight to behold.

I especially enjoyed strolling along the promenade, taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding lakes. There are plenty of places to sit and relax, and the atmosphere is peaceful and serene. If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, Putrajaya Square is the perfect spot.

Had the opportunity to be at the Dataran Putrajaya Prencinct 3 on New Year's Eve last night, 31 December 2019. Was slightly in tears as the year 2020 that we talked about so much when we were kids has finally come and we are able to reach the moment. We explained to the kids. But later after the event, we were sad to see rubbish scattered around. The rubbish just waits for the workers to come and clean it. What have we become is still far from that year 2020, there is no LRT that can bring the nation to the civilized state but our own selves. Below are 2 photos to show a glimpse of...

Great place to view the grand buildings of Putrajaya consisting of various Ministries, government departments, courts etc.

For foreigners, best to take a cab/uber and stop at the Ministry of Sports. From there take a 1km straight walk directly towards the Grand Mosque of Putrajaya and the Prime Miniesters Office. There weather can be quite challenging ranging from hot and humid to cold rains. Always good to be prepared with an umbrella and some water. There's plenty of restaurants near the mosque facing the lake, just ask the people around there and they will show...

Huge space. Clean. Well maintained. On the last 3 days of each year, there is a huge annual festival at night called Light and Motion, Putrajaya (L.A.M.P.U). There is a spectacular projection mapping show on the Palace of Justice and the buildings around the Precinct 3 is transformed into well lit structures. There are food trucks, light sculptures and outdoor concerts. The fireworks comes on midnight of new year's eve. Of course, all these have since stopped during covid 19 and hopefully will resume again when things have improved.
