Another typical try-hard that has a pitiful attempt at cooking western food. This place only has point is how good the place looks, not how good the food is.
Price is on the high-side in this town, which is not in tandem with the price of the menu. Menu selection is also extremely limited albeit offering Penang-styled cooking. Note that their Penang Prawn noodles bears no resemblence to those found on Penang Island.
My order is iced Americano and Lamb Chop.
The first mistake is the use of waxed paper straws for the iced americano. The dry taste of wax and paper will seep into the coffee, ruining its aroma and makeup of flavours. Still, good quality beans have been used, it would have been thoroughly enjoyable wihout being marred by the paper and wax taste.
The lamb chop is a disaster made by someone who does not even understand western cooking, or even eats meat at all. Furthermore, it was marinated in sweet syrup that tasted mostly like refined sugar, without even a hint of any aromatic herbs or spices. I saw pots of basil, dill, mint and rosemary planted in the vicinity but does no one in the kitchen knows how they are used? What you get is a piece of sweetened meat heated up in vegetable oil. The fries are fried with the correct technique, but the oil is recycled, with messy aromas of animal fat salvaged from previous cooking. Texture is fine for the fries, but have an aftertaste of burnt aninal fat that lingers in my mouth.
This truly is a souless cooking. This place serves souless food.
I shall leave to the cooks to decide the thoroughness of the cooking, but when I requested a well-done meat I expect my requirements to be met. Your tastes and perspectives of cooking matters not to the standards of hygiene I uphold. It takes sending the meat back to the kitchen twice, even so, a huge portion of the meats is still only about 75 percent done. See for yourself the photo of the meat.
Those who risk food poisoning would find the meat enjoyable, for me this is asking for trouble.
Customer service is abyssmal. One of the waiters is actually rude in his replies. And customers pay upfront at a premium price for barrel bottom food quality.

Read moreThe ambience is nice, service is just alright not super attentive like they will come on their own to check on how your food is. Taste wise just so so only nothing to shout about.
Wagyu rib eye didn't have enough sear on it so wasted such a nice cut . Some parts are medium well but the sides were too well done. Not seasoned enough. Potato salad didn't taste that great.. more like pumpkin and purple potato. Rm198
Mushroom prosciutto fungi pizza was quite nice but it's not thin crust more like chewy airy bread texture. Rm38
Prawn paste chicken wings were quite tasty, fresh and juicy. Has a belacan smell which is ok. Rm30
Roasted Pork loin was disappointing. It looked great but inside was still slightly pink and bloody. Taste wise is very bland. Rm48
X.O seafood fried rice at rm24 was very disappointing. Nothing like the picture as the prawn is all cut up to save cost and tastewise it is very bland.
Crab meat tomato pasta is not worth trying. Taste is just so plain and not fragrant at all. At rm36 it is below average in taste. Crab meat not that fresh or sweet all mushy meat.
Calamari was just average nothing great also. Batter is not light and fluffy. Taste is bland. Rm26
All their home brew tea series at rm12 taste so watery. If you like those kind of tasteless drinks then go ahead. Their cucumber juice and mocha...
Read more9th Visit within 3 years span. -The service never dissapoints, less than 20 minutes waiting window for most orders. The food consistently tasted great for most of the time, though it misses sometimes yet it wasnt half bad- probably the chef was a different person or the ingredients and recipe might changed. -Food portion did shrank just a tad bit, as there is a hike in mostly everything, it is understandable. their indoor seatings are a little limited as customers mainly came with their family and friends for lunch and dinner especially. (it is recommended to check for their peak hour) free parking is available though limited especially during peak hour.
To sum This is one of the best modern dining cafes on town. Though You may need to chip in a bit more, if quality is concerned this place is at its top of the game. For me personally, there are still room to improve and pricing is NOT one of it. I have the knack of ordering similar food for each visit, hence i do hope the flavours wont change too much.
Should Try. Mushroom Soup with foccacia bread. Their pastas. The fried rice selections.
I wish this cafe all the best in their...
