For those who have left negative reviews, I’ve taken the time to reflect on a few key points:

Taste is subjective – What doesn’t suit your palate might be just fine for others. Personally, I have no issue with the taste, especially when it comes to halal mee kolok – and Sepinang Sari delivers that just right.

On the queue and waiting time – There are solutions if you're not a fan of waiting:

Option A: Pre-order your meal a day or night in advance for pickup. This helps you avoid the queue entirely and skips the usual 1-hour food prep time after ordering.

Option B: Reserve a table. This allows you to bypass the queue for dine-in, though do note the 1-hour food prep still applies regardless.

At the end of the day, if you're expecting instant service and universal taste, you might be missing the point of what makes this...

The best mi kolok Ive ever taste so far. Mi kolok from this shop is the tastiest Ive ever tried since I live in Kuching. The portion is generous. Mi kolok i tasted before, the soy sauce quite sweet which i dont prefer. The seasoning they used to mix with the mi taste savoury n blend well with the soup. The only thing I would like them to improve is to add more staff. A same staff clean the table and make drink. But maybe because I went there during Gawai so maybe some of their staff on leave. And you have to arrive before 7am if u want to not queue for quite some time. The price is quite pricey but for me if the food is good so i dont mind much. Eventhough the staffs look so stress because they dont have enough manpower, but their customer service still good. They still greet and ask politely whenever they talk...

Sepinang Sari Mi Sapi, better known as Mi Kolok Haji Salleh, is one of those places you check off your Kuching food list. The menu is decent, nothing overwhelming, but you come here for the classics anyway. Taste-wise, it’s decent too, though perhaps not the life-changing bowl of noodles some hype it up to be. Price is a touch on the higher side considering the humble setting, so don’t be shocked when the bill feels a bit more “city cafĂ©â€ than “kopitiam.” The environment is alright, but it gets packed easily, so be prepared to share tables or eat with the soundtrack of clinking bowls and chatter. Staff are okay, not exactly warm hugs but they get the job done. The best part is its location in town, though parking can be a little nightmare. Will I come back again? People of Kuching said that, this place served the best Mee Sapi (which is halal) in town. I've come there to tey it for myself, and indeed it is the best Mee sapi. A bowl of normal mee sapi (or known as beef noodle) cost about RM5.80 & for special bowl cost you RM 8.50. Other than that, you can choose their Mee sapi tendon, sup tulang or even roti kahwin (RM1.60) if you prefer lite meal. Usually, this place get really crowded. It is either you go early morning or waiting for table to be available. As for ambience, it is a simple restaurant that sell great food. For payment, they only accept cash. The downside, was parking spaces. This area has a very limited parking space available. If you going here, make sure to get parking coupon to avoid payment more.

Great halal alternative to the local kolo mee. It was impressive that my takeaway order was packed with thought: chili sauce, soup, even beansprouts (taugeh) were packed separately without even a comment from me (sorry to the echo-conscious). Beef and tendon bits were all done perfectly tender and bitesized so there's no need to cut or bite pieces off. There'll be a queue for diners. Takeaways are served at a little table counter on the right side of the stallfront - look for the sign 'tapau...'. You'll be given a number for your order and all you do is wait. Everything works like a well-oiled machine, so service is very fast still. Wonderful!
