Food [2/5]
Stir-Fried Sweet Potato Leaves (清炒番薯苗) [4.25/5] The sweet potato leaves were really fresh and tasted great. The extra chopped garlic added a nice flavor to the dish. It was well-seasoned and everything worked well together.
Salt Baked Squid (盐焗苏东) [1/5] The sotong leg was overcooked and tough to eat, while the body was still alright. The dish was also too salty and poorly seasoned.
Steam Mantis Shrimps (清蒸濑尿虾) [1/5] The mantis shrimps were also poorly seasoned and didn't have much flavor. Additionally, I found the shelled version to be difficult to eat as it was tough to remove the shells
Sour Plum Juice (桔子酸梅) [2.25/5] The drink was average, but it did a good job of cutting through the greasiness after eating seafood
King Tea (茶王) [2/5] Average and lacked a strong aroma
Service [2.5/5] The owner of the restaurant is friendly and takes the time to explain and recommend dishes based on our preferences. However, it's worth noting that prices are not quoted upfront, so it's important to ask for prices before ordering to avoid surprises when the bill comes. On the downside, one of the waiter had a bad attitude and seemed impatient when we asked for rice, tea, and garlic, even making a long face.
Ambience [1.5/5] Parking is very limited as the restaurant is located in a residential area with only a small road. The restaurant is open-air, which can make it quite hot during the day. It's worth noting that the restaurant is situated within a housing area and can be a bit tricky to find
Value [1.5/5] RM20-25 per pax. The overall price is affordable considering it is seafood, but unfortunately, the quality is...

This delightful home-style restaurant feels like a warm embrace the moment you walk in. It’s truly a family-run operation in the best sense: the mother is in the kitchen, lovingly preparing each dish with authentic flavors and care, while her son—who also happens to be the owner—personally takes orders at every table with genuine politeness and charm.
The atmosphere was welcoming, the food feels homemade, and you can sense the pride and heart behind every detail. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience that makes you feel like part of the family.
The only downside of this restaurant is no aircond. It gets really hot. Despite having many hanging fans and huge standing fans, the heat makes it very uncomfortable while waiting and eating— almost like you’re sitting next to the oven.
Still, if you can handle the warmth, the food and hospitality are definitely worth it. Portion was huge and the Claypot stingray and fishball soup with shark meat was fresh and yummy.
Definitely revisit again for their other Claypot dishes. The crowd tend to get long during lunch time on weekends, not sure about dinner though. Total meal for 2 adult 1 kid...
Read moreWe had a disappointing experience at this restaurant in Sekinchan. Overall impression is that the restaurant is overrated, with most dishes being just average in taste and not meeting expectations. We spend RM278 in total.
Crab (2kg): Half of the crab tasted not fresh and the meat was soggy. Priced at RM85 per kg, and the crabs were small in size. Sotong (Squid): The size was small. Gu Lu Rou (Sweet and Sour Pork): The dish had too much flour and not enough meat. Pou Yu (Stingray): This dish was okay. Xia Gu (Mantis Shrimp): There was too much flour and not...
