We went there for lunch, and it was a full house initially. While waiting for my friends to use the restroom, a couple of tables emptied as other customers finished their meals. We approached a free table and waited for it to be cleaned.
However, despite trying to get the staff's attention, no one responded. Even when they saw us signaling, they continued at their own pace, ignoring us. After 5-10 minutes, someone finally came over, only to clean the next table (no one is waiting for the table). Frustrated, I called her over and pointed out that we were waiting for our table to be cleared so we could order and get on with our meal. She acknowledged this and left the other table to clean ours.
Once everything was cleaned, we sat down, but waited another 5-10 minutes before an “aunty” approached to take our order—without a menu or price list. We pointed to the clams another table was having, but she informed us they were out. We ended up ordering what was still available: stir-fried fish, stir-fried vegetables, and a few other dishes.
After waiting another 10-15 minutes, a man came over and, in a matter-of-fact tone, told us the vegetables we ordered were “no more.” He offered three options, and after a brief pause on our part, he repeated himself impatiently. We finally settled on cabbage, which he decided would be stir-fried.
We finished our lunch, paid with TnG, and I used the restroom on the way out. The hygiene was poor, and it was quite smelly. Overall, this experience left a lot to be desired, and I don’t think I’ll be visiting this...
Read moreIt is a very localised Chinese seafood restaurant. We came because of the highly recommendation from a friend who was born and lives in this town. It was crowded when we arrived at 11.30am on a Saturday but we managed to grab the last table. I once we sat down, there were people started queuing for tables and this happened throughout the our meal. The turnover was fast as people finish and leave and the table was filled up again the next minute. The food was in a stronger flavour side but then you can say this is more like home cooked food. We ordered 7 dishes which were the shark meat porridge, the famous flat braised fish, stir fry mustard , the chili shrimps, sotong and other recommended from other people. All of them were delicious and seafood was very fresh. The claypot chap Sui was superb, their stir fry mustard and spinach were done very well. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and the bill...
