DO NOT GO! Super overpriced! None of my family members were impressed with the food. The place is ok. Nice for taking pictures. Love the set up and decorations. But too much to pay for this.
It's either they improve their food or reduce the price. This would make the whole experience felt more worth it.
I appreciate the host for giving us the information of our day trip in sekinchan and also the effort their 3 workers put in to make sure we enjoyed the whole picnic experience. It's tough work we know. Hence I've given 2 stars.
We have 10adults so we got the cheapest package. Still need to pay RM138 per pax. And supposedly kids above 7yo paid the same as adult which is ridiculous. They offered us half price for all 6 of our kids age between 7-10yo. The kids didn't eat much but they had fun jumping on the roll of hays and we took plenty of pretty pictures with some help from the workers.
No wonder the host keep highlighting to us that they don't only sell food but the whole picnic experience on the paddyfield. Cause their food really is nothing to be talk about! They shouldn't have promote about their food. What omakase teow chau seafood? All we get is mostly malay food like dabao from the pasar malam(Disclaimer: not that i don't like malay food ya) We were served nasi lemak bungkus with tiny prawns, small pieces rendang chicken, small stuff crab, their so call local made fishball, half steam corn, fried fish and squid, some guava salad and very disappointing spicy soup with small thin lala. Not even hot.
I was expecting a chef there to cook fresh seafood for us cause in one of their insta post there's an old uncle throwing his wok frying some seafood on the spot. Ok nvm.. at least serve us some fresh seafood which they mentioned would be the catch of the day but we taste nothing fresh but all cheap stuff. And no teow chow porridge that the host mentioned to me through the phone which she said is so delicious. My parents would...
Read morePrivate kitchen that advertised the beauty of outdoor picnic at a premium price with no plan b at all when it rain.
When asked about the plan b, they ask us to pray for sunny day instead. When it actually rain, almost 40 of us were cramped into 2 tent that was supposed to be their storage and preparation tent as you can see in the photo, where you eat the food in a wet muddy tents along side with their fridge, storage boxes and whatever not
The guest were left stranded under the tent while it continue to rain not knowing what to do until we asked them only then they start to “serve” under the storage tent
The vendor is kindly to notice the issue of mosquito and bug but the idea of placi g couple of incense stick on the dining table makes you feel like dining in the middle cemetery during Qing Ming
The food was cold, the soup is barely even warmth as all the food is serve out of container with no effort to reheat it at all There is no menu to let you know you what you will be getting. They started you off with a packet nasilemak which probably cost you rm2 in kopitiam and then a huge plate of spaghetti that pretty much the carb filled u up immediately again when there is no menu we are not able to pace ourself. It may sounds ok but don’t forget each of the guess paid rm150++ for this
Overall the experience is disasterous, for the price that the guest paid there shud be a better plan when it rain as the vendor have 0...
Read moreNinja Private Kitchen provided us with an exclusive once in a lifetime experience which we would never forget.
If you are looking for quantity over quality with emphasis on price, then this might not be the place for you. But if you are one to appreciate the finer things in life with emphasis on experiences and details, this is the perfect place for you. Yes, they might be a little pricy but it was worth every penny.
Our host (Zung) , an extremely talented photographer, gave us a sneak peek into his private life, welcoming us into his home and took the time to patiently show us around and bring us on a private tour of his home. This was followed by an extremely delicious and fresh seafood lunch accompanied by some local dishes. Simple but authentic.
Thereafter, we enjoyed an amazing sunset picnic in a paddy field. The picnic was shared with just a few other tables but you still have your private space to take photos or simply enjoy a romantic dinner. However, don't forget to bring insect repellant! We would absolutely recommend it to anyone and would even go again! Our full in-depth review is on Instagram...
