Bad experience with irresponsible owner. We have contacted him back in October to book catering service during December. Throughout the conversation, we have only verbally agreed and no deposit is requested from him. Towards November, we have contacted him multiple times to pay deposit and make selection of the dishes but all he said was it's okay you can select the dishes when its nearer. Yes we follow what he said and finally contacted him again a week before my event. We were told to select the dishes we want first and shall discuss further from there. As been told, we selected the dishes from his list and sent it to him to review. Things started here, we unable to get through him after that and things are getting late. After numerous spam call, he finally call back. What surprise us is, he just bluntly said that the dishes we chose is too expensive and too troublesome, ask us to find another caterer. Despite we tried to discuss to choose other dishes, he did not even give us a chance to talk and repeatedly informing us to get another caterer, he cant do it. He did not even think to discuss with us or even request us to add money, but straight brush us off. If he is not keen for the business, he could tell me off right from the beginning. After 2 months of discussion, and just a week from my event date, I was left hanging there without a caterer to provide food for my guests. BEWARE OF THEIR CATERING SERVICE!!! My family placed a reservation for their catering service weeks ahead the intended date. The owner accepted and told us to prepare 12 tables (he did not even confirm the dishes and he asked us to prepare 12 tables). Right after that, it was radio silence, no follow-ups, no nothing even when we are two weeks away from the date. He did not ask for reservation fee, dishes that we wanted, and whats the exact pax. We got anxious and spam call him about 1.5 weeks before the date and he finally told us to select the dishes, and we quickly send over our selection to him. After that, radio silence again. We called him up repeatedly and he finally pick up his phone. And you will never guess what he said. He said the dishes we selected are too expensive too troublesome, and call us to find other caterer. He did not even think of discussing with us or request to add money, and straight brush us off. You could have the courtesy to inform us weeks ahead if you DONT WANT OUR BUSINESS. We will gladly find someone else. Now we have to scramble at the last minute to find a caterer, ontop of that, we already paid the booking fee for the 12 tables. Who the heck needs 12 tables for a 50 pax catering. The lady boss super friendly, we had a comfortable and pleasant dinner here. To avoid the crowd during peak hour we decided to go for early dinner before 6pm. Food are decent, nice and at a affordable price range, I noticed most of the restaurant in sekinchan menu doesn't stated price which make me feel slide uncomfortable however end up overall price are reasonable, just be remind to check the seafood price before place the order.
