After visiting Batu Caves, we were quite exhausted and decided to have a meal at one of the restaurants along the row of shops nearby. There are plenty of eateries to choose from, and we ended up trying this one. It was a convenient option for a quick meal after the climb. We ordered fried rice (RM7.00), fried noodles (RM7.00), roti planta (RM3.50), roti bawang (RM3.00), roti canai (RM2.00), parotta (RM2.00), roti tisu (RM3.50), Ulunthu vadai (RM1.50), paruppu vadai (RM2.00), curry puff (RM1.50), and drinks including Teh Tarik (RM3.00), Teh Ice (RM4.00), Teh O Ice (RM3.00), and Milo Ice (RM4.50). The total bill came up to RM49, but there was a miscalculation on the receipt, and I was charged extra for something I didn’t order. Fortunately, I checked and was able to get a refund without any issue. The fried rice and fried noodles were just okay—nothing particularly special but decent for a quick meal. The roti options were much better, especially the roti canai varieties, which were nicely done. We also tried some of their snacks which was interesting but not really to my personal taste, and the curry puff, which was alright. Service was fine, and the environment was decent enough for a casual meal. If you’re in the area and need a convenient place to eat after visiting Batu Caves, this is an option to consider, but do check your bill just in case.

I visited Dhivya Cafe hoping for a good vegetarian meal, but my experience was underwhelming. I asked the waiter for a recommendation, specifically mentioning that I wanted a dish with good quantity, but what I got was small in portion and not great in taste. It was definitely not what I was expecting. The only thing I actually enjoyed was the papadam—it was crispy and tasty, probably the highlight of my meal. Overall, I left feeling unsatisfied, both in terms of quantity and flavor. While the place might have better options, my experience was disappointing, and I wouldn’t rush back.

Absolutely loved the food here! Authentic South Indian flavors – the dosa was perfectly crispy, idli soft and fresh, and the sambar was rich and tasty. The coconut chutney was a highlight Must try poori and masala dosa Masala dosa was crispy and flavorful, stuffed with delicious potato masala. Poori set was soft, fluffy, and perfectly paired with tasty curry. Special thanks to the lady who served us – she was polite, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. Her service added a personal touch to the whole experience. Definitely coming back again. Highly recommended!

Hostile Atmosphere and Worst Experience -

We were shocked to find a worm in the rice we ordered here. Upon showing it to the staff, the owner’s superior (“the master”) came over and, instead of handling the matter professionally, simply killed the worm in front of us. There was no sincere apology, no replacement, no assurance of food safety—just the expectation that we move on as if nothing had happened.

This is unacceptable for any dining establishment. Food hygiene is non-negotiable, and the way this was handled was both unprofessional and disrespectful. We were essentially told to “do whatever we can” instead of being offered a resolution.

For anyone who values their health and basic respect as a customer, I cannot recommend this place. I sincerely hope the management takes immediate steps to improve food safety and train staff to handle such situations...

⚠️ Be aware – this place is unsafe and feels more like dealing with gangsters than a restaurant.

Terrible Experience – Stay Away Do not eat or drink here. The staff are scammers, including the lady at the counter. First, they claimed their card machine wasn’t working and insisted we pay in cash. After taking 10 MYR, they refused to admit it and would not check the cameras when we asked.

When we left, around 10 people (including the owner) followed us, shouted insults, and even became physically aggressive—this happened while we were with our kids. The man and 2 man attacked my husband, and his wife and her sister attacked me.

On top of that, the food was awful: tasteless, watery, and the rice wasn’t even cooked. We...
