The food was okay, but the portion of chicken seems to be getting smaller every time I dine here. The sambal is also given in very small amounts. I understand it’s refillable, but getting just a tiny portion and having to go back for a top-up repeatedly is inconvenient and quite fussy.
The place is usually packed during lunch hours, so I tried coming in the early evening. It was still fairly crowded, but manageable. At least there was no queue for tables, just a line for ordering.
And lastly the main issue, the service. Honestly, it was ridiculous. How dare a staff member “tch” at a customer? I’ve worked in F&B before, and no matter how difficult or fussy a customer may be, it’s never acceptable to show irritation, raise your voice, or be visibly rude.
In my case, I had already apologized beforehand for overlooking about the sambal because I thought the sambal pedas came with sambal kacang, just like at pak gembus. I politely asked to add sambal kacang. I understand your SOP is to only refill once the initial portion is finished, but I explained that I couldn't handle the spiciness without the sambal kacang, and it didn’t make sense to force myself to finish something I couldn't eat just to qualify for a refill. Again, I asked and talked NICELY.
Yet the staff member grabbed my plate rudely, made an annoyed face, and actually “tched” at me before handing it back. I still said thank you, even though he was outright rude, and of course, there was no "you're welcome" in return.
I get it, maybe you're tired during your shift. But there's no excuse for treating customers this way, especially over such a minor request. At the end of the day, service should be guided by “atas budi bicara” - common courtesy and discretion.
So please improve your...

Food wise, I am a big fan of the spice level here, it truly hits the spot and makes you crave for more! If you can't handle too much of the spicyness from the sambal, there are options for lower spice levels available with the addition of what I would call the "peanut sauce". Changes the flavour of the dish.
Service is standard....nothing to call out here apart from the fact that for additional rice and sambal (yes it is unlimited for rice and sambal), you will need to walk up to the counter to request it.
Atmosphere wise, I would suggest dining inside to avoid flies and whatsoever. The ambience and overall cleanliness of the restaurant has improved especially after its renovation and the kitchen brought inside the restaurant instead of it being cooked outside.
Pricing is reasonable considering you can add on rice and sambal for free.
My go-to order is Set B with Teh O Ais and an additional side of Kubis Goreng(Deep Fried Cabbage).
In terms of parking, its free but sometimes there may be limited space due to general timing. The restaurant is usually crowded so plan your time well! My suggestion would be to dine in for Lunch around 12-1pm and for Dinner...
Read moreIf you're a fan of bold flavors and crispy fried goodness, Ayam Top Global is a must-visit. The food is absolutely delicious, especially the chicken! But here's a pro tip; eat it at the restaurant. There’s a huge difference between dining in and taking it away. When served fresh at the table, the chicken is hot, crispy, and bursting with flavor. Take it home, and unfortunately, it loses that crunch and becomes a bit soggy. Still tasty, but just not the same.
The fried cabbage is a surprising highlight; crispy, flavourful, and a perfect match with the rice and their legendary sambal. Speaking of sambal... wow. 🔥 Winner winner chicken dinner! 😂 It packs a punch and ties the whole meal together.
A small note on the atmosphere, it can get quite hot inside, and with the spicy sambal turning up the heat even more, prepare to sweat a little. But hey, that’s part of the experience!
Service is top-notch, with friendly staff and super quick turnaround. We got our food in about 5 minutes!
All in all, if you're visiting Ayam Top Global, do yourself a favor and dine in. The food hits different when it's hot, fresh, and crispy right out of the kitchen. Highly...
