I enjoyed my time dining here as the taste of the food was authentic Padang dishes. Customers can choose to either eat like Nasi Padang style or Nasi Campur style. The restaurant had plenty of dishes where you could pick - similar if you go to mamak.

The fried chicken was quite small, I requested a breast but didn't get one (quite disappointed as I clearly stated and the staff said ok). The sambal hijau tasted great and wasn't so spicy. However, sambal dishes like sambal terung & tempeh was extremely oily.

Second time eating at Ampera but our first was at time at this branch. We came here on a Sun at around 1.30 PM and there was already quite a queue. It took us about 15 mins to get to the front of the line. As the interior was a lil bit small, instead of queieng to place the order, it will be better if there is a QR system in place to facilitate with the ordering.

Foods were nice and there were a lot of varieties you can choose from, staffs were friendly, portion was generous but the prices were a lil bit on the higher side. Everything in the pic + ayam gulai + 2 es jeruk + 2 water comes to RM 105.

Ate here with my family. We had the ayam pop (not in photo), ayam serunding (in photo) and sambal goreng kentang (not in photo) and they're all so good! My ayam serunding however was a bit cold and stale, but it's forgivable and understandable as we got there around 8.30pm. If we visited earlier or around lunch, it would probably be fresher. Ayam pop was SO GOOOOOD! tasted like the one I had in Indo. Everything tasted like the one I had in Indo to be fair.

My mom is Indonesian and she approves this. Sambal hijau is not that spicy but it has major flavour so it's a hit! Definitely would recommend this to anyone missing or wanting Indonesian/Padang food.
