Was really looking forward to try this place because more than ten years ago I had tried their infamous family set briyani atas Dulang at their HQ and it was great.

Today well the briyani rice itself was good but everything else was either sour or salty, my fried chicken was sent back because it was still raw on the inside unfortunately, maybe it was just one of those days for this place but if it were up to Gordon Ramsey 😅 …

Their poori bread was thick & accompanied with dhall so I would say One Chopati in setiawangsa is still the best poori there is and worth the price with its keema instead of dhall, I will always recommend them above wanna be poori’s out there since I haven’t found one at the equivalent level.

On the downside only some of the waiters can speak English or some degree of malay so had to use hand gestures or point at pictures at some point or another.

#1: Mandi Chicken Rice - What my colleague had. Large portion, rice was enough for two meals so it's worth the plate. The chicken thigh was grilled perfectly and juicy

#2: (Mine) Chickpea and egg curry. Although they said it's curry, the gravy tasted more like a tomato base. Flavour wise - quite tangy and light. Chickpeas and egg mixes very well with the 'curry'. Portion wise won't suffice as a main meal (obviously) so I added the next dish

#3: Chicken Palak. Only three pieces of chicken in a bowl of 'spinach curry'. Chicken pieces a bit smallish but the coconuty spinach gravy made the dish quite filling. Taste wise, the gravy was good although it got a bit cloying...

Been here many times, food was is nice but today's visit was a disappointment, refuse to accept card, demanded only cash. Not even QR code is available for payment, previous visit was last week and they still able to accept card although mentioned prefered cash after mentioned that I was preferred to pay by card, suspected they trying to avoid card payment due to wanted to avoid additional tax charges for their business. Should have informed earlier that payment for today only by cash when taking meal order and removed their notice that they accept card payment at their glass door entrance....
