We came here again for lunch today, with the same gang, and Nasir was with us this time. And just like the previous visit, I went for the Mutton Curry and ulam ulaman as well...Maybe I should try the other foods next time, as I had grown too predictable...
We brought Lid & Jue here right after her appointment at IKN, but this time Nasir couldnt accompany us, as he had his own doctor appointments to attend to. But lt was him who recommended this restaurant, and for that we were very thankful...
They offered a buffet of very traditional Malay type of nasi campur, and it served it purposed as everyone was hungry, especially Abdul Rahman, who couldnt wait to dig into his plate of nasi campur. Read moreThe first time we ate Rumah Daun's dishes were during Ramadan when we took away those kampung dishes. Today, we had the chance to eat here during lunch, alhamdulillah.
It wasn't as many people as it was around 2.30pm. Many young families with one to two kids came here. Some of the dishes were already ¾ gone which was a good indicator as it means that it must be delicious. I believe there were around 30-40 dishes there, including the lontong, laksa, cucur udang, sambal etc.
My Arabian-Turkish husband chose Kam Heong chicken with two fried veggies, while I had ikan patin masak tempoyak and kerabu mangga. The Cuckoo water is available for free and we ordered iced sirap limau. The chicken and patin fish were fresh and chunky meats. The veggies were crispy too. Flavour wise, it was spot on!
For both of us, it was under RM 30! I don't think I could get this price with big size chicken/fish and fresh veggies anywhere else. Alhamdulillah for this restaurant! Surely we would come again. Thank you to the restauranteur and staff. Semoga maju jaya, amin ya...
