IMHO, Sphere lounge is, so far, the best Priority Pass lounge in KLIA, thanks to its peaceful ambiance and above average food offerings. Each guests was entitled to choose 2 dishes and 3 drinks from the menu. While the dishes were petite, like half the size of a main, they are sufficient for a full meal. Most of the dishes were delicious, well above typical priority pass lounge food standards. Each dishes was freshly prepared and could take some time. Drinks include coffee, beer and soft drinks. Sphere lounge typically had only a handful of patrons, unlike other popular lounge that was frequently overcrowded. The ambiance was relaxing, with view of a small waterfall garden, piano and smoothing music. However, Sphere lounge was unlike your typical lounge. It was located at the landslide (before clearing immigration) within Sama Sama airport hotel. It operated as part of the hotel bar, and served non lounge hotel guests concurrently. The hotel was getting a bit dated but remains very clean. Buggy service was available from KLIA level 2 to hotel entrance. From level 2, simply follow the signs towards carpark C/D/car rental. Just before the travelator or Kepler club, look out for a wall featuring KL skyline. They usually have 2 buggies in service and the wait was less than 5 mins. Alternatively, the walk was just about 10mins. The downside was the ample time required to visit this lounge. Firstly, it was located at a separate building, a fair distance from immigration. Secondly, KLIA immigration lines could be long, for foreigners not eligible for autogate clearance. Thirdly, the food preparation was rather slow. Lastly, it requires extra time, if the your gate was at the satellite terminal. All these adds up and we recommend heading to the lounge at least 3 hours before flight. The lounge accept arrival too, which could be a better alternative for a less stressful visit.

Excellent service and delicious food! First how to locate this lounge: This is outside of the immigration, if you are transiting then you need to check out from the immigration. If you are departing then you can go straight to the lounge. It is located on Terminal 1 level 2 (When you arrive for departure is level 5, you need to go down to level 2). After you arrive to level 2 of Terminal, then you can use buggy/golf cart to bring you to the lobby of Sama-sama 5 star hotel. You can use this buggy vice versa For FREE of Charge access: JCB Ultimate, Precious, Platinum & Priority Pass. For JCB you have 8 entitlement per year, for Priority pass there usually have quota. You can choose 2 kind of dishes and free flow of drinks on the booklet. I recently visited Sphere on sama-sama hotel lounge and I had a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious as it made order not made in a bulk. The food presentation is also top notch. I ordered the 8 kind dishes it was cooked and design to perfection. The portion size was just right, not overly huge and the presentation was beautiful. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere with the tropical outdoor garden to kill sometime. At 22/12/23 was Christmas decoration. I also appreciated the attention to detail when it came to service. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, and they were quick to take my order and clear my plates and serve the food. Overall, I had a wonderful experiences at Sphere sama2 hotel lounger and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food and excellent service.

Absolutely delighted to find this lounge and they accept priority pass/dragon pass. Down side: lounge is outside of immigration and security. It’s also about a 15-20min walk once you exit the immigration. Please don’t walk and wait for the buggy service you will find it directly after coming down the escalator. Lounge is located in hotel lobby and ambience is calm and relax, evening planting piano in the evenings Food is table service , good quality and much better than any typical priority pass Lounge. Lamb is abit tough. Fish and chips is fresh but portion size is abit small (about 3 mouthful) For drinks, there are no wines and only Tiger Beer. Offers pot of tea , coffee which is high quality For priority pass, you are allowed 2 food item and 3 drinks As a Singaporean, I can tell you this lounge is far superior then any Singapore Changi PP lounges

Came here via priority pass. There is a plaza premium lounge on the airside in T1 but decided to try this place. Note, this is actually a bar area of the Sama Sama hotel and it is before you clear immigration. You need to collect your boarding pass at the airport before making your way here.

There is around a 10 minutes walk from the airport to this hotel. If you are lucky, you can catch the buggy transfer to and fro at level two of the airport to the hotel.

This is not a buffet style like plaza premium lounges. You get to choose two tapas from a selected menu and bottomless soft drinks. My beef burger and chicken wings were hot indicating that they were prepared only upon ordering. Food is tasty and much better options than the food at KLIA plaza premium lounge.

Service staff are friendly, pleasant and attentive.

The biggest selling point is ambience. Most plaza premium lounges (including the one at KLIA) around the world are flooded with people and rowdy. This lounge is quiet, relaxing and much more peaceful. There were only three other guests on a Sunday afternoon. In my opinion, it is well worth the 10 min walk.

If you are deciding between this place and the plaza premium lounge, and you are not rushed for time, I highly recommend this place.

The drawbacks of this place are that you need to factor in the walking time back to the airport and the time to cross...
