Kyochon 1991 was a true savior for me after a long 3-hour flight without having lunch. As soon as I arrived at Level 4 (Arrival), I made my way up to Level 5 (Departure) in search of some quick and delicious food. That's when I stumbled upon this hidden gem, Kyochon 1991, tucked slightly at the back in the departure area. It wasn't too hard to find, and I was instantly drawn in by its inviting ambiance and delightful decorations.
The restaurant's interior was impressive, and I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious seating area. It even had a dedicated play area for kids, which was a thoughtful touch. The staff members were friendly and greeted me with warm smiles, adding to the overall positive experience.
Although the prices were slightly higher than at its regular restaurants, I understood that airport establishments often have different price points, so it made sense. I decided to try their 12-piece fried chicken sampler, which included three mouthwatering flavors: sweet, soy garlic, and spicy. The spicy option definitely lived up to its name and packed quite a punch, but luckily, the cold corn tea provided some much-needed relief.
All in all, Kyochon 1991 proved to be a fantastic dining choice at the airport. The delightful decorations, friendly staff, and scrumptious chicken made it a delightful stop before continuing my journey. If you find yourself at this airport and in the mood for some delectable Korean food, Kyochon 1991 is definitely...

I ordered the best seller - honey wings, which was really crispy and maybe a bit too sweet. It does taste good though, but would be even better if it was not that sweet.
Then I also got the drumsticks, that I though were ok. Still prefer the honey wings over the drumsticks. Got mixed flavour- one red chilli and the other soy.
Was also given a small bowl of seaweed soup. Tasted ok.
Lots of seats available and they have a place to wash your hands so you can enjoy eating with your hands if you prefer so. They do give you plastic cutlery, a set of spoon and fork.
Service was also pretty good. They have a sign saying they are cashless but I still could pay by cash. I gave them the exact amount though. I think they don’t have much cash so might not be able to give change if you give...
Read moreOMG service is the best and professional, so much better than KXX before. The restaurant has two sections for dine in. All good design. We wanted to order honey chicken that time but it was unavailable. Sad. But others are delicious as well! Especially the soy sauce??? one. Original taste was good. However, the spicy one was too spicy for people who can't really eat spicy. We scared cannot finish all so ordered take away. Lastly change another smaller set but forgot to change to dine in so ended up ate the dabao food in the restaurant. The chicken wasn't as big as KXX though. Set included beverage, rice and soup. So delicious. Some more wet tissue was provided. However at the counter to take utensils are lower and inside, difficult to find if not...
