My visit to Food Garden at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) was a pleasant experience. Located in the public area of the airport, this food court offers a good variety of local and international food options at relatively reasonable prices compared to other airport dining spots.
The area is clean, spacious, and well-ventilated, providing a comfortable place to sit and relax before or after a flight. I noticed several halal-certified options, which is great for Muslim travelers. I tried a local Malaysian dish, and it was fresh and flavorful, though the portion size was slightly small for the price.
What stood out was the availability of multiple cuisines under one roof — from noodles and rice dishes to fast food and beverages. The service was efficient and staff were polite. However, during peak times, it can get a bit crowded, and you may have to wait for seating.
Overall, Food Garden is a convenient and decent place for a quick bite at KLIA, especially if you’re looking to enjoy some Malaysian flavors without leaving the airport premises. A good stop for transit passengers and...
Read moreWas there at 8am right after landing, and only ONE local vegetarian dish available from one stall! Fried rice, which was too heavy as breakfast for us but we didn't have any other choice.
O'Briens has a couple of salad and one vege ciabatta (which are extremely pricey but the ciabatta was also not available at that time anyway) and the Japanese place had 2 options. That's it! So vegans/vegetarians have extremely limited options here. Why not have at least one fully vegetarian stall here? An Indian stall will be optimal as they usually have ample local vegetarian options.
No doubt the food court looks clean and presentable. But having equal amounts of vegetarians/ vegans restaurants should be common sense... especially for an international airport. Very...

There are loads of food stands here, so plenty of options. We walked around looking at what everyone was eating and eventually settled on the Tepenyaki stand, where for 18MYR (approx £3 GBP) we had a really nice dish of chicken served with rice and fried egg on top. It had a side of miso soup included. You buy drinks separately from a different stand (approx 5MYR which is 90pence GBP), for a Starbucks sized takeaway cup of lychee juice with fresh lychee in). Food was cooked in front of us and very tasty. A great alternative to eating in overpriced restaurant in your overnight...
