This is not the standard of Yakun Toast that I have ever had.
They use the cup holder plate to put my eggs, and the plate has broken at the corner. I immediately asked the staff to change, and the staff give me an angry face. They changed the plate, and still put my eggs into a cup holder plate (which is really small, and not good for hygiene purpose). I feel there is no SOP for this outlet. The staff never wear gloves to prepare for food, and the fingers touch my eggs (yuks, I ady give up and donât feel like eating). I questioned her why she never wear gloves, and she just ignore me and reply me that she change another eggs for me, without further action like wearing a gloves. The toast donât even have butter, and the toast is very soft, is really so much different from the authentic YaKun.
đĽThe eggs : cannot make it, the eggs is very cold, watery, staff use wrong plate, staff no wear gloves đ The toast: no butter, too soft and not crunchy at all âď¸ Kopi : the coffee tasted unusually weak and lacked the rich, robust flavor I normally enjoy at Ya Kun đ° Price : price is consider expensive for this standard of toast, eggs and coffee Overall: really disappointed
I have always enjoyed visiting Ya Kun for its consistent quality and warm service, this outlet was especially surprising and disappointing. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and look into the matter to ensure better quality control and customer service...
Read moreFood: they served us cold soft boiled eggs and wrong drinks order Service: we know Singapore serves Teh Halia but it wasnât on the menu here so we asked the male cashier (without name tag on) if this airport outlet serves Teh Halia and he said yes so we ordered. The moment we tasted it, it was just a normal Teh Tarik, so we feedback to the female staff (named Lisa) who was making drinks and her response wasnât pleasant: kat mana dalam menu ni ada (while pointing to the board menu). We explained that we confirmed it with the cashier before we ordered. After a moment, the cashier came and claimed that he didnât say it: tak ada, saya ingat Teh Tarik. On the other hand, the soft boiled eggs was cold (the couple beside us heard it and they said their eggs also the same but lazy to feedback). The cashier then served us another plate of soft boiled eggs (it wasnât hot and the yorks were harden but warmer than the previous serving). Atmosphere: fair, but the condiments were placed together with the trash area which I think it wasnât that ideal. And the trash wasnât cleared when we take the condiments. Iâm a loyal Yakun customer in Singapore, but this Malaysia outlet is beyond disappointment and will not...
Read moreI'm sorry to say this, but the Ya Kun branch here does not live up to the original in Singapore. The toast here is far from the authentic Ya Kun . By around 3pm, the noodles were already sold out, leaving only rice available. I ordered Set A & E, which includes a choice of hot coffee or tea. If you prefer cold beverages, there's an additional RM 2.50 charge. While I understand that prices at the airport prices can be high, the quality should justify the cost.
Here's a breakdown of my experience:
Kaya Toast with Butter: Cold, soggy, and chewy with burned bread.
Tea (Cold): Bland flavour.
Smoked Cheese French Toast with Kaya Set: Cold & soggy.
Coffee (Cold): Bland flavour.
As a fan of Ya Kun in Singapore, I'm genuinely dissapointed with the Malaysian branch. For the authentic Ya Kun taste, I recommend flying to Singapore because you definitely can't find it here. Ya Kun should implement quality control measures and have someone from management in Singapore to taste the food here. The negative reviews are honest reflections of the current food quality. If Ya Kun is committed to maintaining its Singapore standards, significant improvements...
