Why ruin your own business and reputation by hiring staff that take no pride in their work. The fact that there are already two poor review I would think that the management will the note of the issue and make a difference but it seems that company do not think it's worth their attention.
Old Town White Coffee is not only a household name and also has become iconic in Malaysia, especially they placed themselves in the airport, ideally they should put their best food forward. However, the last few times when I patronize them, the experience wasn't pleasant. Granted they have good food but their standard of service really need improvement.
Again, today (22nd March 2018) was back to have a meal but I was faced with staff that are grumpy and unfriendly. The prawn noodles, was not very impressive, as their prawn is substandard frozen shrimp and their fish cake don't taste fresh. Very disappointing and it's more than RM 15 per bowl. Disappointing.
I have to walk across Harrods to have my coffee...
Read moreSummary 1/5: Worst airport food ever.
Food Option 1/5: Close to NONE, only 2 option available: Nasi Lemak or Chicken Hor Fun (rice noodles). Drinks, also only 2 options available: Teh Tarik or Coffee. Choose 1 each of this cost us RM 50.60 in total.
Food Quality 0/5: The Ipoh chicken Hor Fun (rice noodles) was served with meehon instead, has only 2 small pieces of chicken (less than 0.5 inch), cost RM 18.80. Soup was bland, no taste. The Nasi Lemak don't even have anchovies and meat (not even a tiny piece), served with papadam on the side, peanuts became the main dish, cost RM 16.60. Daylight robbery! The coffee and Teh Tarik was passable, made me want to go buy another cup of coffee elsewhere.
Service 2/5: The restaurant was not full, but the food service is really slow, waited for 15 minutes for our food. This is a self service restaurant, but there's a staff helping to clean up the table. He was polite and fast.
Atmosphere 1/5: Dimm environment, need to improve on the cleanliness and...
Read moreI think we should all avoid old town from now on. Used to really get excited seeing the cafe when I saw it but the last visit in singapore before their city square branch closed down already started to give me hints that all is worse in the chain. They after all gave me chicken rice with coconut taste and passed it off for Nasi lemak which I ordered. On a quick stopover at KLIA i thought it had to be good on home ground so didn’t even look around for better alternatives. They delivered my white coffee hot very fast but I feel like it doesn’t taste the same anymore, tasted a bit instant. Took forever to deliver my peanut butter toast. Chatting chatting chatting. It was worse —sad dry burnt. I actually asked for a refund but when they declined and offered to replace it I decided to let them keep my money. That is the end of old town to me. I declare old town the end. Surprised I can’t post that sad toast photo. It speaks a thousand words for what old...
