Bayang Café in Glenmarie ticks some basic boxes – a decent local café setup, reasonable prices, and surprisingly good coffee. But if you're expecting smiles, greetings, or even the faintest whiff of customer engagement… you might be better off managing your expectations at the door.

The café attendants here have perfected the art of standing statue-still and staring blankly – you’ll feel like you’ve walked onto a mannequin showroom rather than a welcoming eatery. Not a "hello", not a "what can I get you?", just… silence. A simple "Can I recommend something?" or even “Hi, what are you in the mood for?” could go a long way in turning late-night foot traffic into extra sales. Missed opportunity? Most certainly.

Still, credit where it’s due – the coffee is solid, and pricing is reasonable. You won’t feel ripped off, and for a quick caffeine fix, it gets the job done.

Maybe the owner’s got money to burn, as the saying goes – because the service surely isn’t sweating to earn return visits. But who knows? With a touch of training and a dash of friendliness, this place could shine a little brighter.

I usually go to cafes to mostly do work, so my review is made on that basis. This cafe has pretty average coffee and food, nothing too spectacular neither is it bad either, just average. It's prices are affordable pricey. You could be spending between RM20 ~ 30 if you ordered a drink and something to eat.

I think for atmosphere its either good or bad. In some cases, the cafe is way too loud (my chair vibrates) to do your work or have online meeting calls, and tables with food scraps. But in other cases, the cafe is appropriate and clean. Just your luck I suppose.

I think the service is also hit or miss. When the cafe is loud or table is dirty and I asked for the waiter/cashier to assist, they would be quick to address or completely ignore you.

Some other notable things is the place has good parking and WIFI. It's not too busy either, you should always have a place here. There is also a good number of plugpoints too.

If you are here to do work or have a chat over coffee, I wouldn't recommend it because the atmosphere is inconsistently bad. This place would be good to just have a meal and...

Poor service. Not recommended for birthday celebrations!!!!!!

Came for birthday late lunch to celebrate birthday. Ask for cake, they said no candles. I said it is ok. I just ask their help to send the cake to the table and sing-along a little bit. But what we get was, they ask is to collect the cake at the counter and nothing after that. It was disappointing experience. Last year was ok. We had candle on the cake. This year zero. So sorry.
