Serai Restaurant Subang Empire is a popular spot for Malaysian cuisine, and for good reason. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I started my meal with the Oxtail Assam Pedas, which was a hearty and flavorful dish. The oxtail was cooked until it was fall-apart tender, and the assam pedas sauce was a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spicy. For my main course, I had the Nasi Kerabu, which is a traditional Malaysian dish of rice cooked in coconut milk and turmeric, and served with a variety of side dishes. The nasi kerabu was flavorful and aromatic, and the side dishes were all delicious. I finished my meal with the Serai Platter, which is a selection of Serai's signature dishes. The platter included the oxtail assam pedas, the nasi kerabu, and a few other dishes. I was impressed with the variety of flavors on the platter, and I enjoyed every bite. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Serai Restaurant Subang Empire. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal. When you walk into the restaurant the first thing that hits you is the smell of fresh lilies of the valley. senses awaken at at go walking into the restaurant Ambience is perfect and the servers will always try to accommodate your orders and needs. I had been to both their PJ Jaya shopping center as well as Empire branch both are equally packed during lunch, dinner and weekends. Five stars for ambience and service. The menu boasts a huge variety of local Malaysian favourites as well as dishes from chinese malaysian cooking and from the east coast like their nasi kerabu. Their desserts are normally rich and heavy caloric counter breakers. Overall the food is just a little above average. Nothing that over drives the taste buds. This is something I could appreciate because I know what I would be getting everytime. I personally love their nasi kerabu, steamed sweet sour fish and their satay. if you are planning to clean eat this won't be the place for it. Out of all the fusion restaurants I could say I like Serai the most. Desserts are a little over the top and it leaves an over satieted state of sugar OD. else a decent weekend go to eatery.
