[Sept 2022] The crowd has went down a lot compared to last time. A lot of empty seat nowadays. Usually quite packed previously around 6pm+. Decent place for a family gathering. Comfortable ambience. Food price is extremely expensive with the serving size. More like a taster menu to my opinion. Not a good place for big eaters. Small rice is smaller than the ordinary eateries. Only 3 mini gulps charging RM1.30 each.
Kam Heong crab is a taste like fusion of buttermilk 奶油 with kam Heong. Strong milky creamy taste. Taste good but quite salty. Good to pair with white rice. It's RM76 per crab. And you can order 1 only. Our crab only got 6 legs???? Haha Legs missing here and there. Still fresh.
Sweet sour pork (RM16) taste right. But the meat wasn't fried crispy. It's coated with soft layered texture soggy chwey dough. Not my preference of koloyuk. But those love chewy texture can try it.
Quarter bottom roasted duck (RM28). I don't mind the price due to the increasing cost. But the meat quality is too bad. Meat is overly dry and difficult to chew. Herbal duck sauce is savory. Cili sauce not the ordinary type but quite good. Not recommended at all.
Generally can try once with the hype of the special menu and facebook ads. Surely not a place that I will revisit again. Not to up to my par and...
Read moreLousy food . They charge rm1 for a plastic container if you order through food delivery. When you thought its in a plastic container, they surprise you with styrofoam container. So they basically charge us rm1 for a plastic container and gave us styrofoam. If you order 5 dishes, they will charge you rm5. What a rip off !! What plastic container cost rm1???
As for food. So so . I would rate 5/10. A lot of places that serve better food at a slightly higher prices.
Dear owner, in case your going to reply to this, dont bother, if you can make a change, please dont charge rm1 for take away containers and dont...
Read moreJust ate here again today Dinner on Chap Goh Mei 2025. Feb 12th 2025. Very impressed with current boss, Erick.
He is friendly, jovial, jokes and accommodating.
We brought our friend's own self-fished FishHead and ask him to cook in his curry. He nicely took it on and turn out a superb curry fishhead with Gather2 own curry paste. Just perfect taste.
Then all the veg also good. 3 Cup Chicken Claypot is tasty.
Drank beer... and lots of fun... with the boss Erick coming with his life inspiring stories.
Sitting in front of the entrance is casual and in corridor, but still comfy.
