Inside Scoop Bukit Jelutong — Restaurant in Shah Alam

• Have to deduct stars from my review as my recent visit are less than stellar. Staff are not friendly, so blur (probably new or lack of training) and not knowledgeable about the flavour of the ice cream served. My son order a biscoff ice cream but the ice cream tasted like durian and he hates durian! When informed to the staff, no action were taken from them to replace that ice cream. Obviously the staff didn’t wash the scoop properly and no apology as well from them. One female Malay staff kept spooning and tasting the ice cream non-stop!! I know you work there and the ice cream are free for you but that doesn’t mean you should be snacking all the time in front of the customer!

Inside scoop ice cream are really to die for! It’s delicious, creamy and addictive! They are always innovative with their flavour and to include a nice local touch to their artisanal ice cream. There are too many flavours to choose from but Rocher, Valrhona choc and Crunchy choc sorbet are my favourites. This is the only branch I always go. You can also enjoy it with their 1+ 1 free coffee promo. Great ambience to lepak and hang out....

Really appreciate the staff here — we came almost during closing time and they still kindly prepared waffles for us. A lot of places would’ve just said kitchen closed already, so props to the team for being so accommodating and friendly.

They’ve got quite a few waffle options, with different toppings like banana, caramel, and so on. We went for the chocolate pistachio kunafa version — and wah, really on trend right now. The waffle itself was crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, exactly how it should be. The kunafa pairing (even with toppings on the ice cream) added that extra crunch and fragrant sweetness that elevated the whole thing. If you’re a fan of kunafa, definitely worth a try.

As usual, we got our go-to flavour — Mixed Berries Cheesecake Ice Cream. Still as good as we remembered. It’s not overly sweet, just the right balance to pair with the waffle — won’t feel jelak at all.

I am hardly a person who writes a review for restaurants or cafes. But today I decided to because of a girl name Rachel. Inside Scoop Bukit Jelutong is my go to ice cream parlour for a year now ever since I boycotted Baskin Robbins.

Rachel is not a regular face here but today I have an opportunity to be served by her. She really tended to my needs and looked after my child while I need to use the washroom. She offered me a charger when she noticed I was looking for a charger cable. She kept on asking if I need anything else. Her smile and services really added to the waffle, ice cream and latte we had.

For a housewife like me, to unwind my evening with an unexpected 5 star treatment is an indulgence beyond dessert.
