Coming from the South where wantan mee is usually the "white" or "tomato sauce" version, i was a little apprehensive when it came to ordering wantan noodles from this restaurant. Elmo Lee, the local food reviewer mentions two distinct features of this Wantan noodle stall found in this restaurant - thus i was eager to test his review opinion. Firstly, for small (S), the portion came big. The noodles were springy and had that "QQ" crunch and chew I asked for "less dark sauce", so it came a little lighter than normal The "Char Siew" was absolutely flawless- thick sliced but full of flavor and no burnt bits for you to spit out. Soup was a bit fishy(did they put fish in it?) but the two pieces of wantan that swam in it was bigger than any stall i ever visited/ate. Full meat and good taste. Besides the wantan noodle stall, there was a char Kuay Teow stall and a stall selling curry noodles. We were full by then and couldn't eat anymore. Maybe we might come back for the curry noodles. But being Southerners, i still enjoy my "white noodle" version...
