Are you craving for Mazesoba and you’re wondering where to get some that taste unforgettable? If so, I highly recommend you come try Menya Hanabi while in Kota Kemuning!
Let’s talk about the dish I ordered, the Special Menu Nagoya Mazesoba DX. It comes with two halves of their Ajitama Eggs, Nori Seaweed, Negimashi Spring Onions, Cha Shu, Nagoya minced meat and Ranou egg, all covering the soba noodles underneath it. Remember to mix thoroughly before taking a bite and when you do be prepared to have your mind blown.
The Ajitama eggs are so soft and comforting to savor in the mouth. The chewy noodles are so silky smooth and savory as you slurp them up. The chashu was chewy and tender. To top it all off, a dash of vinegar to add a sour punch! The best part, after you are done with your mazesoba, you may ask for a scoop of rice, on the house!
Service was pretty good. The staff were very professional and attentive towards our needs. They were very kind to give us a scoop of rice on the house after we were done with our mazesoba. Tell me, which other noodle house does that?
Finally, let’s talk about the atmosphere. Aside from feeling a bit crammed, the space was well air-conditioned and it was pretty comfortable to dine in it. Perfect for meals in a small group, however, you might want to reconsider if you come in a group larger than six people.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience dining here at the Kota Kemuning branch of Menya Hanabi. Looking forward to coming back again in the...
Read moreNagoya Mazesoba & Toroniku Nose Aemen (no yolk) Oh wow these are so full of flavour! The egg yolk provided a sliky texture to the dish and boom, what a game changer 💥 Noodle texture is also just right! Would recommend to request for some rice after finishing the noodles, and mix in with the ingredients for an extra omph 😋 If you are not a fan of garlic and onions, then this may not suit your tastebuds as the aroma is pretty sharp; it will last in your mouth for a few hours, so be sure to drink lots of water after that!
Gyoza is very filling and seasoned well! However the skin is sticking together to another so it was impossible to get each piece out without ripping the skin :') Each of them is pan-fried to perfection; instead of vinegar, dipping in chilli oil gives a hint of spiciness 🌶️!!
Came here for my second visit (first visit was 2 years ago) and the taste was still as good as last time! If you haven’t been here, you’re totally missing out because this is DAMN GOOD, no introduction needed 🤩 Service is quick and efficient, but one of the waiters asked us a little too early for rice while we are still savouring the noodles. Will definitely be back again to try out their other dishes, and...
Read moreToday was one of those random walk ins - to be blown away by how bloody good the ramen was. Funny thing is that i have lived here all my life but still am very reluctant to eat in kota kemuning 😂 this place makes me feel that kk has good food.
Mazesoba noodles (rm22) were very chewy buckwheat, sauce combination was amazing. Even the soup version was good. We ordered the salt based soup (rm27) - and it was very fragrant and had plenty of that bonito flakes oomph init. Good job that they paid attention to the soup based ones as well!
Had a short chat with the chef, the ramen hails from nagoya and is a sibling to the Tanjung pagar ramen in SG (i thought the SG one was good, but this is EVEN better)
Will be back. Hope they ride through the pandemic with ease.
Also they provide plenty of free water to quench...
