Restoran My Old Street Kopitiam — Restaurant in Shah Alam

Order by going through the physical menu and writing our order on a blank piece of paper. Selected an item from the set menu (wrote down the set menu code S5) and added a drink. Set menu meal showed the rice comes with egg so was enticed to order that specific meal (sucker for dishes with fried egg). Set meal is available between 11.45am to 2.45pm. I was there around 12pm.

Drink tastes weird. Meal came and started eating. Kerepek was soft. Halfway in the meal, realized no egg. Free drink did not arrive either.

Requested for menu to double-check and approached waitress to ask “why no egg” The reply was “ala-carte no egg”. That’s all. Was stunned so left it at that. Finished my meal and left.

I clearly chose S5 but the shop’s employee (lady at cashier) decided that my meal should be ala-carte instead.

Went home and decided to write in to the owner before posting a review (searched online wasn’t that tough) and also their shop fb page to seek...

This restaurant is great for dine in lunch. The chicken chop was very nicely done. The fish and chips was very delicious. Also the coffee was good but a little pricey, but overall, the food prices for the dishes are very reasonable and good price. Very clean restaurant and nice environment. The staffs were Friendly and efficient. The set lunch is so worth it. The petai fried rice and it turned out to be so good. Set lunch comes with a free drink, you can choose either barley, coffee or a tea. Definitely worth trying their set lunch here. Kopitiam style eatery in this area. Cosy place with quite a lot of food varieties to choose from. They do have breakfast and lunch sets for you to choose. Local, Chinese and western food also available. Owners are friendly and food serve are good....

Ample choices of selection of food, but what is you speciality? Do indicate in your menu to avoid disappointment of customers.

toast bread, egg n coffee - was good. prawn noodles - was sweet and sugary taste. probably not your speciality and a dissapointment. rice and fish - dory frozen fish - your can do better. Another dissapointment for the price paid.

Pls do focus on your speciality, instead of having A-Z food covered...
